The sanctity of marriage is under attack by the current Congress. Last week 47 Republican House members abandoned their party platform, traditional values, and the very essence of marriage as ordained by God to join forces with liberal Democrats in an effort to destroy the Defense of Marriage Act which was passed with a large bipartisan majority and signed into law by former President Bill Clinton.
It appeared that's where the act would stop until now as steam is picking up in the U.S. Senate. It seems a number of Republican senators are also willing to jump ship as the ship plots a course to run aground to the peril of the nation.
