The Plowers Plowed Upon My Back,
And They Made Long Their Furrows
And They Made Long Their Furrows
When I read my King James Bible, and I’m just being honest, I do not see “3 equal entities” in the Godhead so much as I see in One of those entities all the fullness of all the Godhead dwelling in one person. Jesus Christ.
Today I want to give a very simple message, for some of you it will be so simple it will slip right past you. My message this morning is on what Jesus Christ did on the cross for you, in your place, and the treatment meant for you that He intercepted and took upon Himself. And in doing so, I intend to give Him more glory than perhaps your religious creeds, denomination and/or traditions have prepared you to receive. How much glory will I give Jesus Christ? All of it.
You can split hairs, squabble, debate and argue about ‘the trinity’ until the rhetorical cows come home, but please count me out of that dreary and soul-deadening discussion. I am going to lift up the name of Jesus Christ so high that it just might make you sick to your ‘Greek and Hebrew scholar’s ‘stomach. When I read my King James Bible, I see Jesus as KING OF KINGS, I see Jesus as LORD OF LORDS, I see Jesus as the One who took my punishment in my place, and I can never repay Him for that. But what I can do is give Him the glory He rightly deserves for what He did for me on the cross. When I read my King James Bible, and I’m just being honest, I do not see “3 equal entities” in the Godhead so much as I see in One of those entities all the fullness of all the Godhead dwelling in one person. I’m putting all my chips on Jesus Christ alone, and letting it ride. Are you in?
