An Investigation Into The Roman Catholic Church In Baltimore Shows Child Sex Abuse And Torture By Priests That Was All Swept Under The Rug
A four-year investigation of Baltimore’s Roman Catholic archdiocese reveals the scope of 80 years of child sex abuse and torture by priests and how church officials often covered it up and, in some cases, paved the way for further abuse.
While it is true that you will see this type of depraved activity taking place in some Protestant and Baptist churches, nothing comes close to the level on which it takes place within the cloistered walls of the Roman Catholic Church. Not only that, the Catholic Church at its highest levels, the Vatican, has always known about the child sex abuse going on, and they have all, Pope Francis included, worked to cover it up to some degree. The Catholic Church is filled to overflowing with pedophile priests, and they seem to like it that way because they don’t work to stop it.
The First Baptist Church of Hammond Indiana, under the leadership of Jack Hyles, was a hotbed of sexual abuse, with people like AV Ballenger spending 5 years in jail for his crimes that were covered up by Hyles. Hyles even held a fundraising ‘appreciation dinner’ for Ballenger after he was convicted of abusing children. Hyles successor Jack Scapp spent a decade in prison for sex with a minor. That’s pretty sick and demented. But the Roman Catholic Church operates on a whole different level by a factor of one hundred, and on a global scale. From the top down, the Catholic Church remains largely and mostly unrepentant for their sexual sins against children, offering up the merest of lip service but never making any changes until they get caught.

By Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF): A few months after attorneys at Alliance Defending Freedom sued the state of New Mexico for forcing doctors to facilitate physician-assisted suicide against their religious or ethical convictions, Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham signed into law Tuesday a bill that allows medical professionals to decline such participation for reasons of conscience or religious beliefs. As a result, ADF attorneys representing a New Mexico physician and the Christian Medical & Dental Associations filed a stipulated dismissal with the court Wednesday to dismiss their lawsuit, Lacy v. Torrez.
“We commend the New Mexico Legislature and Gov. Lujan Grisham for enacting this critical law to protect health care professionals who object to assisted suicide for reasons of conscience or faith,” said ADF Senior Counsel Mark Lippelmann. “Dr. Lacy and the thousands of other Christian medical professionals we represent believe every life is sacred and full of inherent value, and that assisted suicide ends an innocent human life without justification. The government should never force doctors to surrender their religious, moral, and ethical convictions.”

Not Just Nashville: Attacks Against Churches Nearly Tripled in 2023
By Ben Johnson: Last week’s mass murder of six people at a church-run Christian school constitutes 2023’s deadliest act of violence against churches, which have increased nearly three times this year compared to last year, a new report from Family Research Council finds. The number of anti-church attacks in 2022 had already tripled over four years, a previous report found.
In all, assailants attacked churches 69 times in the first three months of 2023, compared with 24 such acts during the same period last year, a 288% increase. The rising tempo of anti-Christian assaults—which includes arsons, bomb threats, vandalism, and sacrilege—has affected places of worship in 29 states. The motives behind such desecration run the gamut from pro-abortion activism or controversies over transgender ideology to apparently senseless acts of destruction.
