Synopsis: It is commonly asserted by the post-tribulation rapture camp that there are no pretrib passages in the early church Fathers and that the pretrib rapture was invented around 1830. The pretribulation rapture camp begs to differ with this analysis, and they point to several dozen passages in the early church which uphold a pretribulation rapture. In this battle regarding the rapture testimony of the early church, Irenaeus has become ground zero. In this video I demonstrate conclusively that Irenaeus taught a pretribulation rapture and that he claims he learned his rapture teaching from the aged brothers who learned it directly from the apostles.
