Transcript: âThat I might know Himââthe Lord Jesusââand the power of His resurrection, the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto his image.â My friend, how well do you know Him today as you come to the table? Do you know anything about the power of His resurrection? Paul prayed for the Ephesians, he said, âThat they might know something of that power which wrought in him and brought Him back from the dead.â How we need that today. We need to know something about the power of His resurrection today.

About Church of the Open Door
Built in 1914, the 4000-seat Church of the Open Door was conceived by R. A. Torrey who had come to Los Angeles to start a Bible institute (now known as Biola University) similar to Moody Bible Institute. Other pastors have included Louis T. Talbot (1932â1948) and J. Vernon McGee (1949â1970). The church is strictly non-denominational, though Evangelical. Its mission was to reach the lost of Los Angeles, which was reflected in the name âChurch of the Open Doorâ based on two passages of Scripture:
âI am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.â - Jesus Christ, John 10:9 KJV
âI know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.â - Jesus Christ, Revelation 3:8 KJV
