Transcript: “Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt.” And a great many people think, “Let your speech be salt.” They really sting you with, you know, little sarcastic remarks. But it means “always, with grace, seasoned with salt.” In other words, a child of God should have a conversation that deters evil, not promotes it. Should withhold it, you see. And I think it also has in it the idea, don’t be boring as a Christian. Oh, the Lord forgive us for being boring as Christians. We ought to be excited about all this. “That ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.”

About Church of the Open Door
Built in 1914, the 4000-seat Church of the Open Door was conceived by R. A. Torrey who had come to Los Angeles to start a Bible institute (now known as Biola University) similar to Moody Bible Institute. Other pastors have included Louis T. Talbot (1932–1948) and J. Vernon McGee (1949–1970). The church is strictly non-denominational, though Evangelical. Its mission was to reach the lost of Los Angeles, which was reflected in the name ‘Church of the Open Door’ based on two passages of Scripture:
