Don’t Be Deceived
Transcript: The devil is the deceiver. And how many people today are deceived? They’re deceived about life. How many people today are even thinking of eternity? Just things of the here and now. And today we find even science, the great organization, now rejecting for the first time the creation account. They don’t want it. It’s a great day of deception. You can be deceived today by science. You can be deceived today by politicians. You can be deceived today by educators. You can be deceived today by the military, and you can be deceived today by all these protests. And the only help today is to turn to Jesus Christ. He’s been “made unto us wisdom” and the only hope.

About Church of the Open Door
Built in 1914, the 4000-seat Church of the Open Door was conceived by R. A. Torrey who had come to Los Angeles to start a Bible institute (now known as Biola University) similar to Moody Bible Institute. Other pastors have included Louis T. Talbot (1932–1948) and J. Vernon McGee (1949–1970). The church is strictly non-denominational, though Evangelical. Its mission was to reach the lost of Los Angeles, which was reflected in the name ‘Church of the Open Door’ based on two passages of Scripture:
