While arguably not as prominent as it was in the past, the Masons represent a unique group whose cultish tendencies become obvious the more their secret rituals are revealed. Yet many people—including Christian men—are drawn into Freemasonry because of its public perception of fraternity and benevolence.
While the origins of Freemasonry are cloaked in mystery, it is widely recognized that the movement began its rapid ascension throughout western societies early in the 18th Century. Some have even pointed to the founding of the first grand lodge in a London alehouse in 1717 as the beginning of this fraternal order steeped in deism and ritual.
An anonymous book published in 1730 entitled, The Defence of Masonry (sic), asserted that Freemasonry descended from the mystery cults of ancient Greece and Rome, but borrowed heavily from the pre-Christian symbolism of Judaism. Blending all of these religious ideologies into what was presented as a homogenized faith system, Freemasonry sought to cut through the class and denominational boundaries that tended to separate rather than unify.
The central tenets of Masonry revolve around the wholesome ideals of brotherly love, relief, and truth. Channeling gnostic tendencies, apprentices are invited to pursue secret “higher knowledge” as they progress along “craft degrees” and progressively higher orders attainable only by Master Masons—such as York Rite, Mark Rite, Scottish Rite, Knights Templar, and Shriners. Lending credibility to the benevolence of the various rites, Masons are known for their charitable hospitals and works.

By Michael Snyder: I have always been a fan of Harrison Butker, but now I am an even bigger fan. On May 11th, Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker delivered what has turned out to be the most controversial commencement speech in U.S. history.
During his address at Benedictine College, he expressed traditional Christian viewpoints that nearly the entire country would have agreed with a few generations ago. But expressing those same viewpoints today has created a firestorm of controversy. Enraged leftists are seething with rage and are demanding that the Kansas City Chiefs release him immediately.
So exactly what did he say that was so controversial?
At one point during his speech, he dared to suggest that most of the young women in the audience are more excited about marriage and family than they are about their future careers...

Pro-Life Women Denied Crucial Medical Care After Biden Puts Them in Prison
By McKenna Snow: A group of House lawmakers are calling for answers amid reports that two pro-life women were denied “necessary medical care” while in prison awaiting sentencing.
House Pro-Life Caucus Co-Chair Chris Smith, R-NJ, authored the letter to the United States Marshals Service (USMS) Director Ronald Davis and Federal Bureau of Prisons Director Colette Peters.
Pro-life advocates Jean Marshall, 74, and Heather Idoni, 59, along with several other advocates, were convicted of violating the controversial Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act for blocking access to a notorious late-term abortion clinic in Washington, D.C.
On May 15, Marshall was sentenced to two years in prison, plus three years of supervised release. Idoni will be sentenced on May 21. They have both already spent nine months at the Alexandria Detention Center in Alexandria, Virginia, while awaiting their sentences.

“There should be no word of sympathy from any member of the Biden administration for Raisi,” former National Security Council official Richard Goldberg, now a senior adviser at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, told The NY Post before the State Department statement came out.
“If a mass murderer in the United States died, no one would issue sympathy statements; they would issue statements of support for the victims. That’s exactly what we should be doing now.”
Around the same time the State Department’s message went out, US Deputy Ambassador to the United Nations Robert Wood stood to observe a moment of silence for Raisi during a meeting of the UN Security Council.
