Zionism is the belief that all the land of Israel, Zion, belongs to God who gave it to the Jews, and that God Himself will return at the Second Advent to rule the world from Israel.
In your King James Bible, Zion is a city and it is connected to both Bethlehem and Jerusalem for some really good reasons. In Bethlehem David was anointed by Samuel the prophet, in Bethlehem Jesus the Saviour was born. David became king over a unified Israel which included Israel to the north and Judah to the south. Jesus at the Second Advent will sit on David’s throne over a unified Israel in a kingdom that rules the entire world. If you hate Zionism now, then you better sit out the Millennium because Zion will be the center of the universe.

A Silence That Will Have To Be Answered For

Translated literally as “Day of the Catastrophe”, this is Israel’s annual Holocaust Remembrance Day. In the 1930s and 1940s, more than six million Jews lost their lives under the Nazi regime. Of those victims, greater than 1.5 million were children.
At 10:00 on Monday morning, sirens will sound throughout the nation of Israel. At that moment, all people will stop what they are doing and stand in silence for two minutes to honor and remember those who were slaughtered during that horrific time. Places of business will halt their activities. Cars will pull over and their passengers will get out. School classes will pause their instruction. As a nation and as a people, we are determined that we will never forget what took place during those dark times.
Why is it so important to intentionally remember tragedy? To answer that, all you need to do is look at what is currently happening in national and international government buildings and on university campuses around the world. On October 7, a slaughter took place that was so vile, so vicious, so demonic that it seemed the world had to pause to catch its breath. Torture, systematic rape, kidnapping, murder, and mutilation were perpetrated by gleeful terrorists against an unsuspecting and wholly innocent civilian population. Israel was forever changed, and a huge majority of nations around the world commiserated with us. But that was then, and this is now.

The word comes from Ahmad Massoud, the son of Ahmad Shah Massoud, a legendary Afghanistan resistance leader known as the "Lion of Pamjshir," who was assassinated by al-Qaida just before 9/11.
The young Massoud now leads the anti-Taliban resistance in Afghanistan.
The Taliban, of course, is the terror organization that took over the nation, literally within hours of the U.S. military following Biden's abrupt orders to flee Afghanistan. Biden's orders included the military leaving behind tens of billions of dollars worth of American war machinery for the Taliban to use – and sell, since some of those pieces of equipment have now been spotted in other terror hotspots in the Middle East.
Massoud's warning is that terror is "breeding" in the vacuum left behind by Biden's disorganized pullout in August 2021.

Nominally, Israel/Palestine is the narrative of these protests. But I am warning here that American students are actually the targets.
Tent cities have been hurriedly constructed on college quadrangles (this was a methodology in the 1980s as well, when we protested investment in then-apartheid South Africa via campus “shantytowns”, as they were called then). Students are driven by a range of motivations — ranging from sincere idealism, as many from all backgrounds watch the bombardment and starvation of Gaza with horror; boredom — a generation which has grown up on its phone, finally has a battle, replete with heroes and villains, risk and tactics, exciting enough ‘IRL’ to compete with Mortal Kombat; and ignorance, as naive students who have no knowledge of the complexities of the agony of Israel/Palestine’s conflict, credulously mouth reductive, inflammatory slogans, including “We are Hamas”, “Intifada Now” and “From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be Free.” Students more knowledgeable and compassionate could as easily call for a ceasefire; for peace talks; and for all sides to obey the international rules of war.
