This is the 248th, and perhaps, last 4th of July America will celebrate, but if you’re saved and born again, the future has never looked brighter
As a child growing up in the 1960’s, I have so many fond memories of July 4th, our annual Independence Day celebration. The fanfare and fireworks, the omnipresent displays of American enthusiasm, backyard cookouts and all-day swimming at the Old Swimming Hole. (Yes, it really was called that.) Those times are burned into my brain with all the warmth and intensity of a Kodak Technicolor snapshot, but they are desperately as far away from our present-day reality as if you were looking at them from the wrong end of a telescope. In 2024, America is a leaderless nation, in extreme distress, and rushing headlong into oblivion. It America were fireworks, you’re watching the grand finale.
I want you to think for a moment, to really use your brain, and try and take the emotion out of the equation. What did God destroy both Sodom and Gomorrah for? For doing exactly what America does for the 30 days of Pride Month every June. Can you show me a presidential candidate, any candidate on either side, who as president will end Pride Month in America? You can’t. Adolf Hitler killed 12 million people during the Holocaust, an eye-popping figure to say the least. But that’s chump change compared to the 63,459, 781 babies killed in abortion in America since 1973. We rightly call Hitler a monster, and he certainly was that, but what about Americans who demand their ‘right to abortion’, and cry tears of joy when their state allows it? Are they not monsters as well? You tell me.

It’s Time American Christians Use Their Freedom To Live As God Intended—Dependent On Him
By Greg Laurie: The Declaration of Independence states that we are “endowed by [our] Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” Despite our nation’s imperfections, I am thankful to live in the United States of America!
What a blessing that we live in a nation that protects our right to pursue happiness. Most people, deep down inside, want to be happy. This is really why so many of us try to secure good jobs, desire to live in comfortable houses, and seek out companionship. But even in a country that maintains our right to pursue happiness, actually obtaining it can be a struggle.
I think a lot of people have a renewed desire to simply be happy. The problem for many Americans is this desire ends up leading us into a pursuit of self. Scroll through social media for just a few minutes today and you’ll see endless examples of self-interest, self-pleasure, and self-promotion.
This pursuit of self may feel satisfying in the moment, and it may even bring some version of happiness, but it is only going to lead to a deeper feeling of emptiness down the road. As free as we are in America to choose to live for ourselves, we were created to live differently.
It’s time that American Christians use their freedom to live as God intended—dependent on Him.

BY Lawrence Solomon/JNS: Apart from its own 780,000-strong armed forces, Iran has assembled a score of armed groups in countries neighboring Israel; all of which, like Iran, are committed to the eradication of the Jewish state.
The United States, the European Union and others in the West who are fixated on a two-state solution continually exhort Israel and the Palestinians to negotiate a peace agreement. This exhortation confuses a sideshow with the main act, because Iran and its proxies, not Israel and the Palestinians, call the shots.
Iran, which directs most of Israel's enemies, will never permit a two-state solution. To ensure one doesn't emerge, Iran has created its "Axis of Resistance," which "aims to annihilate and wipe out Israel from existence," said Abdul Majeed Awad of Hamas, an Axis member.
Iran's Axis doesn't seek a Palestinian state living side-by-side in peace with Israel, as two-state proponents fantasize. Iran seeks no Israeli state and has laid the groundwork to realize its goals.
