By Jonathan Brentner: A few years ago, a pastor used a rubber band as an illustration of the nearness of the Rapture. Just as one can only stretch it so far before it snaps, so world events could only continue so long before the chaos of the Tribulation period erupted across the earth.
At the time, it appeared as though the horses and riders of the apocalypse were about ready to ride across the earth spreading deceit, wars, famine, and much death in their wake (Revelation 6:1-8); things that happen after Jesus appears and takes us out of the world.
Today, we seem even closer to the chaos that will mark the start of the Day of the Lord, yet we remain earthbound. What’s going on? The Apostle Paul, in 2 Thessalonians 2:7-8, tells us that what we see today is the work of the Restrainer, the Holy Spirit, who is currently working through the Church to block the revealing of the antichrist and restrain the lawlessness that will accompany his unveiling to the world: “For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming.”
The many signs pointing to the onset of the seven-year Tribulation are unmistakable. However, the Restrainer is also at work delaying the events of Revelation 6 until we are safely with Jesus in Heaven and He opens the seals.

By Avi Abelow: Once again, the anti-Netanyahu left continues to prove just how out of touch with reality they are. Their actions, particularly in recent days, endanger lives, including those of the remaining captives in Gaza.
Early Sunday morning, we learned the tragic news that Hamas had murdered six more of our hostages. And sadly, true to form, Israel’s most radical left is focused on undermining the Netanyahu government rather than directing their outrage at Hamas while demanding harsh retaliation—such as executing Hamas leaders in Israeli prisons, seizing more territory in Gaza, or cutting off aid.
Opposition leader Yair Lapid has blamed Netanyahu for the death of the six hostages. By using a national tragedy as a lever to continue the relentless campaign to topple the Netanyahu government, Lapid and his fellow leaders are essentially incentivizing Hamas to continue killing our captives.
This is a dangerous game, the aim of which is to destabilize our government. Hamas would benefit from a government more prone to appeasement than our current War Cabinet—making this a triple win for Hamas.
Israelis all share the same goal: freeing our captives and saving those who are still alive. However, we cannot overlook the fact that we are dealing with an enemy adept at psychological warfare, which uses our compassion against us. Netanyahu and his government stand firm against a triple threat that creates immense pressure from the international community, Hamas, and the reckless political left, refusing to compromise the safety of all 9.5 million Israelis.

A teenager accused of planning a terror attack in Las Vegas was allegedly building bombs in his room and may have been preparing to target a school, according to documents the 8 News Now Investigators obtained.Understandably authorities initially just assumed he was a peaceful protester for Gaza.
“Peace by [sic] upon all brothers who see this,” Joshua Robles wrote in one post, according to police. “I am here to announce that I will be starting lone wolf operations in Las Vegas against the enemies of Allah.”
On Aug. 23, staff at the Clark County Detention Center found a handwritten note in Robles’ cell, which included an ISIS flag and phrases such as, “Welcome with death,” prosecutors said.
