Why Are Many Jews Loyal To A Party That Has Long Been Against Israel?
By Jan Markell: In 2019 I wrote an article titled “Under a Spell.” I was trying to help Christians who were inquiring of me as to why Jews always seem to vote Democrat when, in fact, the Democrat Party does them no favors! Additionally, that party has long been anti-Israel.
Now I am reading that it is Jews who may be the biggest influencers of the 2024 election—because many won’t be voting Democrat. They have had some wake-up calls and many now realize that leftists are far more pro-Hamas than pro-Israel. In fact, much of the world has been cheering for Hamas. Find a fascinating article here.
Yet many Jews will maintain their loyalty to a party that has never treated them well. Here are some reasons why, from my 2019 article. And yes, it seems many remain under a spell.
In the 1940s, the Jews overwhelmingly supported a President who was their enemy — Franklin Roosevelt. Over 90% of Jews voted for him in 1944. He looked the other way to the evils of the Holocaust. He could have saved hundreds of thousands if American troops just would have bombed the railroad tracks going to the camps. Roosevelt had no interest in intervening.
God removed him from the presidency before 1948, as he would not have voted for the independent State of Israel as did Harry Truman.
Many Jews voted for two anti-Semites — Jimmy Carter and Barack Obama. No two U.S. Presidents did more damage to Israel than these men — yet they got the Jewish vote, by and large, though the Jews grudgingly voted for Carter! Jews also voted for Joe Biden, who also schemes night and day against Netanyahu and Israel.
Now I am reading that it is Jews who may be the biggest influencers of the 2024 election—because many won’t be voting Democrat. At this moment, most Americans have no idea that a war between the United States and China is coming.
Just a few days ago, Chinese President Xi Jinping boldly talked about "preparation for war" as he was dressed in military fatigues...

By Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz: Rabbi Yitzchok Zilberstein, a prominent Orthodox rabbi in Israel, recently gave a lesson to his students in Ramat Elchanan, Bnei Brak, in which he said that the War of Gog and Magog would take place in its entirety in the three hours before dawn on Wednesday, the Jewish holiday of Hoshanna Rabba.
Rabbi Zilberstein discussed the miracles happening to Israel throughout the year-long war in his lecture. He noted that Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, and Iran have fired over 2,000 rockets into Israel with relatively few casualties.
The rabbi referred to a teaching by Rabbi Obadiah ben Abraham of Bertinoro, a 15th-century Italian rabbi known as the Bartenura. In his commentary on the Mishnah (Megillah 3:5), Bartenura predicted when the revival of the dead would occur and when the War of Gog and Magog would begin. He based his interpretation of the revival of the dead on Ezekiel’s vision of Dry Bones (Ezekiel 37:1-14), which is read in synagogues on Passover. Bartenura explains that this corresponds to the dead’s actual resurrection, which will occur on Passover.
Bartenura writes that based on a later section of the Book of Ezekiel (38:18-39:16) the war of Gog and Magog will begin in Sukkot. This section is read in synagogues in Sukkoth.

Vice President and presidential candidate Kamala Harris visited two churches, New Birth Missionary Baptist Church and Divine Faith Ministries International, in the Greater Atlanta area, while Minnesota Governor and vice presidential candidate Tim Walz visited Victorious Believers Ministries in Saginaw, Mich.
“The Republican Party is more likely to include religious believers,” observed Southern Baptist Theological Seminary President Al Mohler, but “yesterday it was the Democratic ticket that made news with both the presidential nominee and the vice presidential nominee pretty ostentatiously going to church.”
Politicians have taken their stump to the pulpit for years, even if the candidates themselves have thin religious convictions. Last January, President Joe Biden spoke from Martin Luther King, Jr.’s former pulpit, now occupied by Senator Raphael Warnock (D-Ga.), about how to redeem the soul of America through social justice and civil religion.
