The Rapture of the Church is a prophetic event in Christian eschatology in which believers in Christ will be caught up, or "raptured," to meet the Lord in the air. This moment is described in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, where the Apostle Paul writes, "For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord."
This sudden and supernatural event will mark the removal of the Church from the earth prior to a period of tribulation. The Rapture offers hope and encouragement to believers, affirming the promise of Christ’s return and the ultimate reunion with Him.
