Synopsis: So you were too busy to listen to much news this past week? Crosstalk has you covered. Dalton Windsor, sitting in for Jim Schneider, had much to share and he’ll get you caught up when you review this edition of the weekly News Round-Up! Here are some highlights from the first half of the broadcast:

As Dalton was getting started with the program, President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin were about to meet, with the talks being held at the heavily guarded Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska.

On Thursday, Vladimir Putin praised the Trump administration’s energetic and sincere efforts to end the war in Ukraine, even suggesting that a nuclear arms control agreement could emerge from broader peace talks.

An Al Jazeera journalist who was killed by an Israeli air strike in the Gaza Strip was in fact the leader of a Hamas terrorist cell.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu hinted that cease-fire efforts in Gaza are now focused on a comprehensive deal that would release the remaining hostages all at once rather than in phases.

Israel is engaged in discussions with five nations: Indonesia, Somaliland, Uganda, South Sudan and Libya over the potential voluntary resettlement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip.

President Trump has said he was able to call Aleksandr Lukashenko, president of Belarus, about the release of 16 prisoners, as well as the potential release of an additional 1,300 prisoners being held in that nation.

Australia will recognize a Palestinian state in September.

Israeli Defense Forces discovered documents in Gaza that show the overlap between UNRWA and Hamas relative to the October 2023 atrocities.

The Republican controlled Texas Senate officially passed a new congressional redistricting map despite 9 of 11 Senate Democrats walking out before the vote, leaving the floor nearly empty.

California Governor Gavin Newsom, Democratic lawmakers and their allies, launched a special election campaign urging California voters to approve new congressional districts to shrink the state’s Republican delegation, a move that could determine control of Congress next year and stymie President Trump’s agenda.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt responded, “Bring it on, Gavin!,” following California Governor Gavin Newsom’s threats to sue the Trump administration.

President Trump announced that he’s invoking the D.C. Home Rule Act to place the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department under direct federal control and deploy the National Guard

When Pressed On Strict Logic By Creationist, AI Admits Evolution Is ‘Effectively Impossible’

By Breanna Claussen: AI assistants, such as Grok and ChatGPT, carry an unsettling amount of influence on our society.

With the creators boasting about AI’s vastly superior intelligence, people often unquestioningly trust the answers the programs provide. Ask “Grok” about the origins of life, and you will get an answer detailing the “scientific consensus” involving billions of years of evolution. Neglecting to factor in the bias of those who programmed the technology, the validity of the response is overwhelmingly accepted by users.

But what happens when AI is challenged on the facts?

Calvin Smith, the executive director of Answers in Genesis Canada, in his new video series “A Talk With Grok,” discovered something astonishing—when you peer behind the bias and press the programming to logically examine the evidence, you get a very different answer.

Beginning by setting parameters to strip away ideologically driven answers, Smith asked Grok to apply only strict logic, mathematical probability, and observational science in its answers....

Digital Health Advancements Creating Trojan Horse To Digital ID?

By Summer Ingram/The Washington Stand: Has America bought a one-way ticket on a runaway train heading toward a Dystopian One-World Ultimatum?

In less than a year, the Trump administration has made great strides to untether the United States from globalist chains (such as withdrawing from the World Health Organization) and return to upholding foundational constitutional freedoms. But now, a Big Tech-backed, Trump-approved digital personal health tracking system has appeared on the national landscape with a "Patient-Centric Healthcare Ecosystem" announced at a recent White House event hosted with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

Though this public-private initiative promises to "kill the clipboard" and streamline health care services for Americans, it threatens Americans' privacy and is a step closer to a dystopian centralized tracking system. While the proposed health tracking system plan to be rolled out in the first quarter of 2026 will be optional, it implements a digital prototype that could certainly be expanded or made mandatory in the future.

This government-initiated Digital Health Ecosystem will work with Amazon, Anthropic, Apple, Google, Microsoft, OpenAI, Oracle, and others, including World Economic Forum (WEF) partners who are working with global elites to build sugar-coated, white-labeled Chinese credit system-esque frameworks worldwide....

 Anti-Zionism is Anti-Semitism:
Judge Rules Targeting the Israeli Flag Equals Racism Against Jews

By Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz: In a landmark decision, U.S. District Judge Trevor N. McFadden ruled that forcibly seizing an Israeli flag from a pro-Israel demonstrator amounts to racially motivated discrimination against Jews. The Trump-appointed judge compared the act to the use of a racial slur, underscoring that the Star of David on the flag is an emblem of the Jewish race, not merely a political symbol.

The case stemmed from a November 2024 protest in Washington, D.C., where activist Kimmara Sumrall, draped in the Israeli flag, said she was grabbed from behind by a pro-Palestinian protester, partially choking her. The attacker was acquitted in criminal court, but Sumrall pursued a civil restraining order. Judge McFadden granted it, citing the lower burden of proof in civil cases. He rejected the defense’s claim that the flag was a purely political emblem representing the State of Israel, noting that the assailant had no reason to believe Sumrall was connected to the Israeli government. In the judge’s view, the incident targeted her Jewish identity.

McFadden’s decision relied on provisions of the Civil Rights Act of 1866, a post-Civil War statute that allows victims of racially motivated assaults to bring federal civil suits. This interpretation, legal observers say, could set an important precedent for prosecuting antisemitic violence in the United States. The National Jewish Advocacy Center, which represented Sumrall, hailed the ruling as a breakthrough, describing it as “the strongest language yet” equating anti-Zionism with antisemitism. They expressed hope that it would open the door for similar civil rights claims in the future.

Critics saw the decision differently. Code Pink, the anti-Israel group that organized the protest, condemned the ruling as a dangerous conflation of political dissent with hate speech, warning that it could chill criticism of Israel’s policies—even from Jewish voices.

While the ruling is not a binding precedent in other federal courts, the language McFadden used could influence future civil rights cases involving antisemitism. It also intensifies the national debate over the line between legitimate political protest and racially motivated hate. For Jewish advocacy groups, it is a sign that U.S. courts may be more willing to recognize attacks on Jewish symbols—even in politically charged contexts—as a form of racial discrimination....

IDF: Israel Is Not Blocking Humanitarian Aid To Gaza

According to international aid organizations, Israel has introduced a new registration system requiring security screening for Palestinian employees, which they say delays the entry of aid. Israel denies the allegations, saying the system is designed to prevent Hamas from exploiting the aid.

By Lilach Shoval: More than 100 international aid organizations signed a sharply worded statement Thursday accusing Israel of blocking humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip for months. They claim many have been unable to deliver aid since March, after Israel rejected dozens of their requests on the grounds that they were "not authorized."

The signatories say millions of dollars' worth of humanitarian supplies, including food, medicine, water and emergency equipment, are sitting in warehouses in Jordan, Egypt and the Israeli city of Ashdod. They argue the blockages stem from a new registration mechanism introduced in March that requires submitting lists of Palestinian employees for security vetting. They call the requirements illegal, dangerous for staff safety, damaging to the independence of aid groups and intended to limit humanitarian work....

 Gruesome Newsom
Is A Threat To Democracy

By Pamela Geller:: Newsom’s latest corrupt scheme will DESTROY California’s independent redistricting process and give politicians the power to rig election maps for decades.

The California US House Democrat gerrymandered map has been LEAKED, per POLITICO.

It is +5 Democrat seats, -5 Republican.

Gavin Newsom is calling for a special election this year to make it happen and counteract Texas.

Should it be approved, California would have just 4 Republican representatives, out of 52…meaning less than 8% of the state has GOP representation.

A Politico poll shows 64% of Californians will vote against Newsom‘s new maps....
