Synopsis: In today’s internet and media focused world, the news cycle can come at us like a flood. This is why it’s important that we sift through it all from a Christian perspective. Jim Schneider does that each week on these News Round-Up broadcasts. Here are several examples featured from the first quarter hour:
• Jim began with a number of audio clips. The first dealt with an individual openly admitting that Muslims must destroy empires such as the U.S.; Next, an Islamic scholar spoke on why he believes that no sane person can love the U.S.; A third came from a Muslim civil rights attorney and former director for the Florida chapter of the Council on American/Islamic Relations who discussed the role of Muslims in America on the issue of dawah. This involves converting people to Islam.
• Top Trump administrative officials are drafting plans to restrict both temporary visit and legal immigration by Muslims affiliated with the revolutionary Muslim Brotherhood and other extremist groups.
• President Trump said that Ukraine would have to continue attacking targets inside Russia if it hoped to win the war, even as Moscow unleashed a massive, new bombardment on Ukrainian cities.
• Russia disavows every advance anyone thought was made in Alaska and the D.C. meetings. Russia has vetoed the idea that European troops could be used as peacekeepers. Beyond that, Russia demands that they be given a role in guaranteeing Ukraine’s security and deciding how violations are dealt with.
• North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un today appeared to acknowledge for the first time that the troops he sent to fight Ukraine for Russian President Putin have suffered losses en masse.
• A call between the leaders of Russia and India affirmed the two countries close ties despite Washington’s demand for India to wean itself off Russian oil.
• Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has approved the Israeli Defense Forces’ plans to capture the major Hamas stronghold of Gaza City.
• Israeli Defense Forces is calling up 60,000 reservists for duty in the upcoming assault on Gaza City.
• Thousands of orthodox Jews gathered Tuesday outside the Israeli Consulate in Manhattan to oppose Israel’s new rules that would force religious Jews to enlist in the Israeli military.
• Other stories during the hour dealt with the passing of Dr. James Dobson, controversy over who drew the newly proposed congressional maps for California, the national debt, new product categories part of steel and aluminum tariffs, persecution of Christians by four of the five largest nations in the world, crime in Los Angeles and much more.

Russia launched a rare drone and missile attack on western Ukraine overnight, officials said Thursday, striking targets including an American-owned electronics plant and injecting further uncertainty into the U.S.-led efforts to end the 3-year-old war. For all his tough talk, US President Donald Trump has yet to issue a comment or reply to the attack by Putin.
On this episode of the Prophecy News Podcast, the name of the company that operates the location in Ukraine that Putin ordered destroyed is Flex, and they are a billion dollar global technology company headquartered in Texas. By Chris Katulka: Two slogans ring across the Middle East, capturing the existential crisis that has long gripped the region: Iran’s rallying cry, “Death to Israel,” and Israel’s defiant response, Am Yisrael Chai—“The people of Israel live.”
This clash between hate and hope intensified in June after Israel launched a preemptive strike against Tehran’s nuclear sites and key Iranian military leaders, seeking to disable the regime’s capacity for mass destruction. Iran answered with volleys of ballistic missiles aimed at Tel Aviv, Haifa, and Jerusalem, causing innocent Israeli civilians to bear the brunt of an evil theocracy’s fury. Yet, Israel’s mantra of life, Am Yisrael Chai, grew louder, drowning out Iranian Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s call for annihilation.
“Death to Israel” permeates Iran’s identity. The slogan is broadcast over state media and sung throughout the country as a Muslim ritual. Iranian funding emboldened Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis to attack Israel. Iran’s national rhetoric embodies a refusal to accept the Jewish state’s right to exist, a vow to erase Jewish self-determination.
When Iran launches missiles indiscriminately at civilian neighborhoods, schoolyards, and open marketplaces, it seeks to terrorize Israeli families by shattering any sense of security. The mantra of destruction is designed to sow fear and signal to the world that Iran’s theocracy despises Jewish life. Yet, in the face of fear, Israel and its defenders answer with a different song—one of hope, resilience, and renewal.
Israel’s chant finds its roots in one of the most poignant moments of the 20th century. In April 1945, when Allied troops liberated Bergen-Belsen, a German concentration camp, a British-Jewish army chaplain overwhelmed by the emaciated Jewish survivors cried out, “Am Yisrael Chai!” (...)

School Punishes Christian Boys While Exonerating Muslim Over Bathroom Wars
By Tyler O'Neil/Daily Signal: The father of a high school boy punished by the school district for expressing shock at seeing a girl in the boys' locker room says he would take his son's case to the Supreme Court, if necessary, as his lawyer says the case illustrates "blatant religious discrimination."
"Are you in this for the long haul? If it ends up having to be a lawsuit, if you end up having to appeal, you'd go all the way to the Supreme Court?" The Daily Signal asked Sean Wolfe, the punished boy's father, in an interview at Stone Bridge High School Wednesday.
"Yes," he replied. "I think as a father, that is a father's duty, and we need men and women to stand up for our children."
Wolfe had spoken during a press conference at the school organized by the Family Foundation of Virginia. The Founding Freedoms Law Center, the Family Foundation's legal arm, is representing his son, who is one of three boys who shared their surprise at seeing a girl in the boys' locker room at Stone Bridge.
The girl, who identifies as a boy, had filmed the encounter, even though that violates Loudoun County Public Schools' privacy policy. The school system did not investigate her, but instead brought claims against the boys under Title IX, a federal law banning discrimination on the basis of sex. (...)

Huckabee: European Push for Palestinian State ‘Greenlighting’ Annexation of Judea and Samaria
By Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz: US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee has firmly stated that establishing a Palestinian state is not a priority for the Trump administration, suggesting that Israel’s Arab neighbors could instead provide territory for such a state. Speaking to Bloomberg on Tuesday, Huckabee said “Unless there are some significant things that happen that change the culture, there’s no room for it,” referring to a Palestinian state in the West Bank.
The ambassador argued that Israel’s “Muslim neighbours” could give up their land to create a Palestinian state, effectively ruling out the establishment of such a state in the occupied West Bank under current circumstances. Huckabee went further, suggesting that no Palestinian state is likely “in our lifetime”, marking a significant departure from decades of US policy supporting a two-state solution.
His comments came in an interview with Al Arabiya English, where he stressed that such steps have worsened tensions rather than advancing peace.
“One of the reasons we’re seeing the more aggressive decision to move into some of these areas is because it’s in reaction to what the Europeans have done — in concert with the Palestinian Authority — pushing for a unilateral recognition of a Palestinian state,” Huckabee said.
He added that these actions have had “a totally disastrous effect” on stability in Judea and Samaria and on efforts to resolve the situation in Gaza. (...)
