The False Promises Of An Economic Utopia: Once Again, The Lies About Socialism Need To Be Exposed
By Alex McFarland: It is shocking to think that, come November, the largest metropolitan economy in the world (that of metro NYC) may be in the hands of an avowed Marxist. As Zohran Mamdani inches closer to becoming Mayor of New York, it is equally troubling to view Democratic Party leaders doubling down on their conviction that socialism should be the goal for America’s future.
Americans, again subjected to the Democrats’ sales pitches for socialism, should know the facts. Socialism always leads to authoritarian governments. Idealistic young voters, especially, need to be apprised of the false promises of an economic utopia:
Lie No. 1: Socialism is compassionate; it helps people.
Think about it: Can you name a socialist country that has a higher standard of living for the people? Socialism is not compassionate — it lowers the standard of living and enslaves millions, not just economically but spiritually.
Lie No. 2: Socialism is affordable; “Our economy can handle this.”
One of the most often asked questions is whether or not our economy could handle the programs envisioned by today’s Democrat Party Marxists. Could our GDP actually sustain the trillions of dollars required to pay for socialist programs?
If the government confiscated every penny the wealthiest Americans can make over the next 12 months, roughly $1 trillion, it wouldn’t keep Medicare going even three years. And this doesn’t leave a penny to pay for the endless government programs that the socialists demand must be started — in the name of justice. (...)

Everybody Wants A Palestinian State, Except The Palestinians

In the past several weeks, France, Britain, Canada and Australia have all said that they will recognize a Palestinian state next month at the annual meeting of the U.N. General Assembly. That's on top of the 147 U.N. member states that already recognize the state of "Palestine."
None of them seems to think there's something wrong with rewarding Palestinians with statehood after the Hamas-led terrorist attacks on southern Israeli communities on Oct. 7, 2023. Indeed, that orgy of mass murder, rape, torture, kidnapping and wanton destruction seems to have fulfilled the hopes of Hamas terrorists by leading to a revival in interest in the scheme around the globe. The issue had gone stale for many years, due to the failure of negotiations to create one, sponsored by the Obama administration, and because of Palestinian intransigence. But a new spate of terrorism has suddenly made it quite popular.
A lot of Americans agree with the idea. According to a Reuters/IPSOS poll published this week, 58% of adult Americans favored recognition of a Palestinian state. That figure largely hinges on party affiliation, with 78% of Democrats agreeing, while only 41% of Republicans favor such recognition.
Interestingly, the question was paired with another about whether the State of Israel should be recognized. In that case, backing for Israel was higher, though far from unanimous, with 18% of Democrats, 12% of Republicans and 21% of those who didn't identify with either party opposing the existence of the one Jewish state on the planet that has already been in existence for 77 years.

That's a key point. While a lot of people may think that it's just fair play to give the Arabs a state if the Jews have one, the fact is, this state of Palestine that will be so popular at the General Assembly doesn't actually exist. (...)

Founded in 1969, the chain’s early locations were positioned near interstate highway exits in the South and Midwest, but have since expanded to 657 locations in 572 cities across 43 states and territories. In June, the restaurant chain announced its “fourth consecutive quarter of positive comparable store restaurant sales growth.” (...)

It doesn’t involve us. We shouldn’t pay attention to it. (The problem with that case is that some things happening out there, like Islamic terrorism, are a worldwide threat that does involve us.)
But as I previously pointed out, the folks trying to tilt MAGA against Israel so often sound like leftists. Instead of making an isolationist case, they insist on believing everything the media tells them, they bring on leftists to attack Israel and they make common cause with the Left.
Case in point.
This is on a level with Tucker Carlson bringing on George Stephanopoulos’s sister (without telling his audience that she was the sister of a top Clinton adviser and media figure) to claim that Hamas just wanted freedom. (...)

Has He Gone Completely Insane? Zelensky Announces That There Is Not Going To Be Peace
By Michael Snyder: If you listen long enough, people will eventually tell you exactly what they truly believe. Unfortunately, we have just learned what Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky truly believes about the war with Russia, and it is not good news at all. Apparently Zelensky is convinced that there will not be a permanent state of peace until all of Donetsk, all of Luhansk and all of Crimea belong to his government. Needless to say, the Russians will never hand all of Donetsk, all of Luhansk and all of Crimea over to Ukraine willingly, and so they will need to be taken by force. Since the Ukrainians cannot do this alone, they will be seeking to enlist the help of others, and that is what should deeply alarm all of us.
The mainstream media’s fawning coverage of Zelensky’s Independence Day speech makes him sounds like some sort of a great peacemaker. Here is just one example. (...)
