Because he cannot erase Jesus’ return from Scripture, he fervently attacks the pre-Tribulation Rapture. If he can make that seem ridiculous, along with belief in a seven-year Tribulation with a real antichrist oppressing Israel, he effectively diminishes the spectacular and glorious nature of Jesus’ return, at which time He destroys Satan’s reign on the earth through the man of lawlessness.
Those who say Jesus’ Second Coming is the next event on God’s prophetic calendar quash the earthshaking impact of how the Old Testament prophets and John describe it. An end-of-the-age return is exceedingly bland compared to the words of Revelation 19:11-20:4 or even Psalm 96:7-13.
That’s why I refer to such amillennial beliefs as “eraser theology.” For them, the proclamation of the Gospel far too often stops with the forgiveness of sins. They portray eternal life as a nondescript gathering of family members in the sky by and by. Absent from their preaching is the Lord’s comforting promise of resurrected bodies, warnings of the coming Tribulation, and our hope of reigning with Him.

Trump has spoken optimistically of its reception -- he told reporters that "intense negotiations have been going on for four days and will continue as long as necessary" and claimed he has received a "very good response" from Israel and Arab leaders.
Netanyahu has engaged cautiously, affirming that the release of hostages and dismantling of Hamas must be top priorities, but expressing deep reservations over any role for the Palestinian Authority in Gaza or "giving a terror state" to Palestinians near Jerusalem.
At the U.N., Netanyahu delivered a stirring address denouncing the concept of "recognizing Palestinian statehood near Jerusalem" as tantamount to giving Al Qaeda a foothold near New York City -- "sheer madness," he said.
That metaphor -- comparing a post-October 7 Palestinian state to Al Qaeda obtaining a state within striking distance of New York -- captures the core Israel concern: what assurances can one truly offer that a new Palestinian regime will not morph back into a terror conduit? Netanyahu argued that to grant statehood to Palestinians so close to Jerusalem now is like allowing 9/11 terrorists not only to survive, but to govern.
Israel stands at the edge of history. Once again, the world demands that she compromise her security for the sake of illusions, offering promises of peace that have no firm foundation. Ironically, President Trump--one of Israel's most vocal friends and defenders--is leading the push for this plan, making it even harder for Israel to reject.

That claim is false. AIPAC is fully American — funded, staffed, and led by U.S. citizens. It does not represent the Israeli government and does not receive a single shekel from abroad. By contrast, the real foreign lobbies in Washington are Qatar, China, and Saudi Arabia, which spend billions openly shaping U.S. policy, universities, and media.

Labeling Jewish civic engagement as “foreign” is an age-old tactic. The charge against AIPAC echoes classic antisemitic tropes. AIPAC functions no differently than Irish- or Greek-American groups that lobby on U.S. foreign policy — except that it is more effective, which is precisely why it is targeted.
Meanwhile, authoritarian governments like Qatar, China, and Saudi Arabia are running genuine influence machines in Washington, using money to buy silence, shape research, and secure access.

Anti-Israel activists allege that AIPAC serves as Israel’s lobby in America, undermining democracy with foreign money. Hogg’s tweet is only the latest.
Others have piled on: In June 2025, Tucker Carlson claimed AIPAC should be registered as a “foreign agent.” Senator Ted Cruz fired back: “That is not only not true — that is false.”
Megyn Kelly and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene suggested that AIPAC is uniquely nefarious for sending delegations of members of Congress and influencers to Israel. In reality, such trips are standard: lawmakers regularly visit allies like Japan, Jordan, the UK, and Taiwan. Israel trips are no different — they provide firsthand education about a key U.S. ally.

Getting him to distance himself from calls to ‘globalize the intifada’, like the Muslim terrorist who set elderly Jewish women on fire in Boulder, was like pulling teeth. Meeting with his Jewish leftist allies, he clearly got this pre-scripted speech on how to respond to question about the conflict, emphasizing attacks on Israel, balanced with a call to free the hostages (which, tellingly, he neither describes as Jewish or Israeli) and no mentions of Hamas.
This playbook (mention the hostages, call for their release, attack Israel, lie about atrocities, don’t mention Hamas) is generally the one that a lot of Democrats are following. But it doesn’t hold up when Mamdani is asked about Hamas.
