President Donald Trump will sign an executive order Friday adding ‘Department of War’ as the secondary title of the Defense Department, two White House officials told NBC News. The order will authorize Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to use secondary titles like ‘secretary of war’ and ‘Department of War’ in official correspondence and public communications and during formal ceremonies, according to a White House preview of the order. Sounds to me like someone is preparing for war. Wanna guess who?

Tim Kaine Raises Eyebrows On Capitol Hill For Arguing Rights Come From The Government, Not God
By Decision Magazine: Tim Kaine, a Democratic senator from Virginia and former vice presidential candidate, raised eyebrows on Capitol Hill Wednesday after he said the belief that human rights come from God and not government is “extremely troubling.”
Kaine, Hillary Clinton’s running mate in 2016, even compared the view that human rights are granted from God to the ideology of Iran’s hardline Islamist government.
“The notion that rights don’t come from laws and don’t come from the government, but come from the Creator—that’s what the Iranian government believes,” Kaine said during a Senate Foreign Relations Committee nomination hearing. “It’s a theocratic regime that bases its rule on Sharia law and targets Sunnis, Bahá’ís, Jews, Christians and other religious minorities.
“And they do it because they believe that they understand what natural rights are from their Creator. So the statement that our rights do not come from our laws or our governments is extremely troubling.”

By PNW Staff: Israel has always been a land of innovation, and now it is pioneering something that sounds like it belongs in the pages of science fiction: an artificial intelligence system designed to predict the future. Known as Horizon Line, this project was developed inside Israel's Innovation, Science, and Technology Ministry, and it aims to give government leaders a glimpse into global trends before they hit like a tsunami.
It's an ambitious effort. Imagine four interconnected systems running side by side. One maps political and social currents, another tracks technology, a third analyzes supply chains, and the fourth--still in development--focuses on mega-trends across eight domains of life: religion, ideology, climate, demographics, international relations, economics, social change, technology, and geopolitics. Put simply, Horizon Line is Israel's attempt to peer into tomorrow's headlines and prepare the nation for them today.
Dr. Victor Israel, a senior leader in the project, describes it as a "laboratory for a changing reality." Researchers feed the system massive amounts of data, and the AI processes it, debates it through specialized "agents," and spits out detailed reports--sometimes warning of new technologies, other times alerting ministries to social shifts that could affect the nation's security. The system played a role in managing COVID-19, and it has already identified issues like humanoid robotics, the growing U.S.-China rivalry, and the return of great power conflicts.
Yet for all its sophistication, Horizon Line has limits. It cannot foresee the unpredictable--such as the Hamas attack on October 7. As Dr. Israel admits, "No system can help if, in the end, people ignore the conclusions it produces... no system could have warned about October 7." The machine may forecast global realignments, but it cannot anticipate the heart of man, the sudden spark of evil, or the divine hand of God.

Macron’s Misguided Criticism Of U.S. Visa Denial To Palestinian Officials

This hypocritical stance comes at a time when France itself is grappling with unprecedented levels of Islamic antisemitism and violence against its Jewish population.
Following a phone call with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Macron called the American decision “unacceptable”. It demanded that “this measure be reversed and for Palestinian officials to be granted access”. The French president’s criticism followed the State Department’s announcement that it would deny visas to PA President Mahmoud Abbas, along with 80 other PA officials, who were planning to attend the UN General Assembly.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio is denying and revoking visas from members of the PA and PLO. This decision reflects the Trump administration’s commitment to holding terrorist-supporting entities accountable for their actions. The State Department cited Palestinian appeals to the International Criminal Court (ICC) and International Court of Justice (ICJ) over Israeli activities in Judea and Samaria as justification for the move.
The United States has full legal authority under international law to deny visas to foreign nationals. As the host country for the United Nations, the US maintains sovereign control over visa issuance and can refuse entry to individuals it deems threatening to national security or contrary to American interests. The Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations and the UN Headquarters Agreement do not mandate automatic visa approval for all foreign officials, particularly those representing entities that support terrorism.
The denial of visas to PA officials is entirely within America’s legal rights and reflects a principled stance against rewarding terrorist-supporting organizations with diplomatic privileges. (...)

The men had set up their weapons in a rented apartment overlooking the square where the Christian procession would pass. They hoped to kill as many Christians as possible. Praise God, police stormed the apartment in time to thwart the attack (Christian Emergency Alliance).
Washington Times: Two armed Turkish men were being questioned Thursday after being arrested in Viterbo, near Rome, hours before a popular local festival, Italy’s Premier Giorgia Meloni said. Meloni praised police and Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi for their “swift intervention” leading to the arrests on Wednesday night, which she said “allowed for the safe celebration of a unique event.” Italian media reported that the two men were suspected of preparing an attack during the celebration, which was attended by Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani.
