Paul calls us to follow him to a life of service to the Lord Jesus Christ, a life that may, or may not, include hunger, thirst, nakedness, beatings and/or homelessness. How’s that for an invitation to the Christian life? You can also add being reviled, persecution and defamation to the list as well. This is what real Christianity is, and if you’re saved, it’s what you are called to, like it or not.
