By Dean Dwyer: Although global peace continues to evade mankind, many world leaders (and almost every beauty contestant) have continued to promote it as man’s primary desire.
Of course, those same people generally believe it will be human effort which achieves this goal. Consequently, there are many powerbrokers who have attempted to bring the world’s most intractable problem to heel – peace between Israel and its Arab neighbours. Some have had limited success. Some have had stunning failures. Regardless, it has not deterred many leaders in the international community from pursuing a comprehensive peace agreement for the region.
To many, solving the Middle East peace puzzle is key to bringing peace to the rest of the world as evidenced by a section of the Abraham Accords Declaration which states exactly that: “We pursue a vision of peace, security, and prosperity in the Middle East and around the world.”
Whatever your individual thoughts on the framework of the recent agreement reached between Israel and Hamas, seeing the living hostages reunited with their families is a moment of joy and thanksgiving. While solemnly reflecting on those who did not make it out alive, we give glory to God for answering the prayers of tens of millions of people worldwide when He reunited desperate families and loved ones.

Parents Stripped Of Foster License For Christian Beliefs
By Habringers Daily/Decision Magazine: The state of Massachusetts has stripped another Christian foster care couple of their foster licensing after they declined to sign a state-enforced gender affirming policy. The state's policy, which puts Christian foster care families in its crosshairs for their Biblical beliefs on sexuality, is the subject of lawsuits from a Christian legal firm and a letter of warning from the Trump administration.
The latest couple to face revocation of their foster licensing is Heath and Lydia Marvin, who have fostered eight children since 2020, all under the age of 4. The Marvins' social worker called the couple "uniquely dedicated," as they had successfully looked after children most foster families would not take in. The Marvins cared for multiple children with complex medical needs, including their last child, whom they had for 15 months. Because of the infant's health complications, the couple said they were up during the night at least three times to care for the child's needs.
In April, the Department of Children and Families (DCF) told the Marvins that their license would not be renewed, due to their refusal to sign the policy.
"We were told, 'You must sign the form as is or you will be delicensed,'" Lydia said in a WBZ interview. "We will absolutely love and support and care for any child in our home, but we simply can't agree to go against our Christian faith in this area."

Rabbi Eliezer Melamed, chief rabbi of Har Bracha, published a sharply worded column in BeSheva urging Jews to “return to building and absorbing many more families” across the territory. “Whether sovereignty is applied or delayed,” he wrote, “the future of Judea and Samaria will be determined by the number of Jews living there.”
Rabbi Melamed is regarded as one of the leading religious authorities in the Religious Zionist movement and a key ideological influence among settlers of Judea and Samaria. His Peninei Halakha series, covering Jewish law and philosophy, is studied widely in Israel. Known for his warm openness toward pro-Israel Christian supporters, he has long emphasized the shared belief that the Jewish people’s return to the Land of Israel fulfills biblical prophecy.
Melamed said that while Israeli authorities have eased restrictions on new housing projects under Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, local councils and settlers have not acted decisively enough. “The gates have opened for expanding settlement,” he wrote. “It would have been possible to double and triple the pace of construction. Instead, these have been the two most difficult years for construction and absorption in Judea and Samaria.”
