It’s Not Bible-Believing Christians Who Are On The ‘Wrong Side Of History’
By Josh Davis: It has become increasingly popular in recent years to accuse Bible-believing Christians of being on the wrong side of history, especially when it comes to issues of cultural morality. Modern-day would-be prophets eagerly anticipate the demise of biblical Christianity in Western civilization. They believe their ungodly views on the big questions of life will triumph and, once and for all, make the church irrelevant.
You see, they have rewritten origin, identity, meaning to life, purpose, and destiny without God and His Word in their attempt to chart their own course and follow their own desires. They would heartily agree with William Ernest Henley in his poem, “Invictus,” “It matters not how strait the gate, How charged with punishments the scroll, I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul.”
But what makes them so confident that they will be on the right side of history? What in their self-centered worldview allows such a prediction to come true? Is it more wishful thinking than it is accurate predicting?
Let’s look back at history and see who came out on the right side in the end. There was a man who stood alone in his generation. While everyone else pursued anything and anyone they wanted, he faithfully followed God. He must have stood out like a sore thumb. For years he hammered and sawed away on a massive building project no one could figure out. As he worked, he warned his generation that judgment was coming from God.

Muslim families are young, vibrant, and multiplying--while Christian families, and Americans in general, are shrinking in number. A simple truth hides behind all the statistics: in just two or three generations, America will not look the same spiritually.

Look around. America's Christian majority is shrinking. In 1970, about nine out of ten Americans identified as Christian. Today, that number has dropped to around six in ten--and falling fast. Meanwhile, Islam is the fastest-growing religion in the nation. Muslim families, on average, have more than two children, while most American families now have fewer. Immigration from Muslim-majority nations continues year after year, and with it comes a wave of young people who will raise the next generation here.
It's not hard to do the math. A growing, youthful population with strong family structures and religious commitment will inevitably shape the future of a nation. In contrast, Christianity in America--especially among younger generations--is aging, declining, and increasingly silent in public life.
What happens when the balance shifts? What will our nation look like when Islamic culture begins to influence public life, education, and law on a scale we've never seen before?

Earlier today, I wrote an article about the death spiral that New York City has now entered. But of course Chicago has been in a death spiral for a long time. As conditions in the Windy City have deteriorated, there has been a mass exodus of wealthy taxpayers and law-abiding citizens. Meanwhile, mass immigration has fueled the explosive growth of Chicago gangs. Recently, FBI Director Kash Patel admitted that there are now “110,000 gang members” living in Chicago. They outnumber the police by about a 10 to 1 margin, and there are many neighborhoods that are simply not safe for anyone to go into at night.
