President Donald Trump said that six Democratic lawmakers who put out a video urging military members to ‘refuse illegal orders’ were guilty of ‘SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR, punishable by DEATH!’ in a stunning Thursday morning post.
If you needed any more proof that America in 2025 is not merely politically divided but spiritually collapsing, look no further than the astonishing moment this week when Donald Trump declared that a group of Democratic lawmakers—many of them former military and intelligence officers—had engaged in “seditious behavior punishable by death.” Their crime? Posting a video reminding U.S. service members that they are sworn to obey lawful orders, not illegal ones. That’s the Constitution, and that’s the memo.
Now let’s get something straight. As Christians, we believe Romans 13:1 when it says, “Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers.” But we also stand with Acts 5:29, “We ought to obey God rather than men.” The military oath itself requires obedience to the Constitution, not to any one man. So when Democrats released a video telling soldiers not to follow illegal orders, they were actually repeating something baked directly into military law. U.S. law defines seditious conspiracy (18 U.S.C. § 2384), rebellion/insurrection (18 U.S.C. § 2383), but applying these to members of Congress and their speech would be unprecedented.
Yet Trump responded by calling them traitors who should face death. That is literal insanity, saying that people who follow the Constitution instead of him should be put to death. And just like that, the temperature in America went from simmer to boil. Trump has become an irrational madman, and he is on the verge of doing some real and lasting damage to this country.

By Amir Tsarfati: (Galilee, Israel) — As I write this, I can hear fighters taking off from the nearby airbase heading north to deal with a resurging Hezbollah. Just in the last few days, the IDF has struck in places like Deir Keifa and Chehour, among others. The Lebanese government is going to have to decide what they’re going to do. Do they want to disarm Hezbollah and get their country back? Or, do they want to face Israel, a country which will defend its borders against terrorists at all costs? The clock is ticking and the world is watching.
This week has been very interesting for news. We’ve seen a royal welcome at the White House for a Middle East leader, the United Nations miraculously affirm a measure that can be seen as positive to both Donald Trump and to Israel, and the remains of another Israeli hostage finally coming home.
Another Beloved Hostage Comes Home
The remains of Meny Godard, 73, were finally returned to his family and his people last Thursday. He was slaughtered in his home in Kibbutz Be’eri during the October 7 massacre, and his body stolen away to Gaza. Finally, after 769 days in enemy hands, he was returned to his four children and seven grandchildren so that he could have a proper burial. His wife, Ayelet, was not there to welcome him, because the terrorists had gunned her down alongside Meny those many months ago. The remains of three hostages are yet to be returned.

Sadly, terrorism in Israel didn’t end with the October 7 attack, nor with the pummeling of Hamas. It is too deeply seeded into the Palestinian mindset. The attack Tuesday by two 18-year-old terrorists is case in point. At Gush Etzion Junction in the West Bank, these teens accelerated their vehicle and struck a group of people. Then, one of them jumped out and began stabbing. Security forces on the scene shot them both dead. Four Israelis were wounded, with one, 71-year-old Aharon Cohen, succumbing to his injuries.
Soon after the attack, the father of one of the attackers was interviewed, during which he praised the actions of his son, saying it was a great honor to sacrifice his child as a martyr. This is why peace between Jews and Palestinians will never come. As I’ve often quoted former prime minister Golda Meir, saying, “Peace will come when the Arabs will love their children more than they hate us.”

The weapons cache operation comes as the terrorist organization publicly rejects the disarmament requirement in President Donald Trump’s 20-point peace plan, recently endorsed by the United Nations Security Council.
The report, aired by Israel’s Kan public broadcaster, revealed that Hamas has been accumulating weapons in recent weeks and storing them in unspecified locations abroad. The terrorist group intends to move these weapons to “strategic locations,” including Gaza, at a later date. The timing of this weapons buildup coincides with growing speculation that the Trump administration might forgo demanding Hamas’s disarmament in favor of advancing Gaza reconstruction efforts.
According to Israeli security sources cited by Channel 13, the White House is encountering difficulties securing commitments from third-party countries to participate in disarming Hamas as part of an international stabilization force. Yet the Trump plan explicitly requires Hamas’s demilitarization. By Bruce Bawer: Fifteen years ago, on March 7, 2010, Michigan Live (which bills itself as “Michigan’s #1 News Source”) ran an article by one Kim Schneider about the Islamization of Dearborn, Michigan, which she described as boasting “one of the largest Muslim communities outside the Middle East.”
Schneider wasn’t critical of this development; she was celebratory. Thanks to Dearborn’s Muslims, she proclaimed, the city was awash in “enticing shops, restaurants and bakeries that feature cases stacked high with baklava and fresh pitas” – not to mention “flatbread…made fresh to order in a roaring brick oven,” “platters overflow[ing] with creamy baby ghanoush, shawarma and kabobs,” and “pistachio and honey treats in various combinations and gorgeous pastries.” At the places selling these delicacies, observed Schneider with palpable delight, there were more signs in Arabic than in English. What a wonderfully exotic adventure – and in Michigan, of all places!
Schneider went on to promote Dearborn’s Arab American National Museum, which has “a soaring dome decorated with Arabic calligraphy,” and which, she wrote, seeks “to bring the voices and faces of Arab Americans to mainstream audiences and thereby dispel misconceptions about Arab Americans and other immigrant groups.” One of the exhibits at the museum, noted Schneider, highlighted “the Arab heritage of many well-known political and entertainment figures,” including Ralph Nader, Donna Shalala, Casey Kasem, and Helen Thomas, the longtime dean of the White House press corps.
