By Calvary Chapel Magazine: As hatred of those of the Hebrew faith continues to intensify, especially on American college campuses, Jews realize that the world is dramatically turning against them again, despite calls to “Never Forget!” after the Holocaust.
Pastor Damian Kyle of Calvary Chapel Modesto, CA, asked his congregation a rhetorical question. “Have you ever wondered why the Jews have been persecuted so viciously, more than any other people?” Damian stated emphatically. “No other group of people has been so greatly hated in this world, in human history, even remotely close to the way the Jews have been persecuted in their history.”
Damian continued, “Going all the way back to Haman [in the Book of Esther] in the Old Testament, and then during the last several hundred years, the French endeavored to destroy them; then in the Spanish Inquisition, they were persecuted under the Roman Catholic Church. They were driven out of Geneva, Switzerland, driven out of Poland, driven out of Ukraine, and persecuted in Russia with pogroms, while six million were murdered in Nazi Germany’s ‘final solution.’ Today, there is continued hatred against the Jews by millions of Muslims around the world.”

By PNW Staff: Something unusual is forming in the Middle East. Quietly, deliberately, and with unmistakable international weight, a coalition of nations has agreed--at least in principle--to sit on what is being called a Board of Peace. Its stated purpose is straightforward: to oversee the postwar management of Gaza and guide the region from fragile ceasefire toward something resembling stability. But history tells us that when global powers assemble around Jerusalem and its surrounding territories, the story is never merely administrative.
In a televised address to the nation this week, President Trump boldly declared that "we now have peace in the Middle East," framing the recent ceasefire and diplomatic progress as a historic moment of reconciliation and stability. Whether one views this as political optimism or a milestone in real terms, the statement underscores the administration's confidence in this coalition and highlights the symbolic weight of the Board of Peace--even as the practical challenges on the ground remain formidable.
At present, several key nations are understood to have committed to this board, including Egypt, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, Italy, and Germany. Together, they represent regional leverage, European legitimacy, and diplomatic continuity. Their participation does not yet guarantee funding, troops, or long-term enforcement--but it does signal international buy-in. Symbolism matters in diplomacy. So does precedent.

By Tamar Stein: Chanukah is often described as a holiday of light. That is true, but it misses the heart of the story.
Chanukah is about refusal. Refusal to disappear. Refusal to trade meaning for comfort. Refusal to accept a world that insists faith stay private and values stay quiet.
That’s why Chanukah feels different this year.
Since October 7, something has shifted. Not only in Israel, but across the world. Conversations that once felt theoretical now feel urgent. Moral questions that people avoided now demand answers. And many who once felt distant from Israel now find themselves paying closer attention, even when they did not plan to.
This shift is not accidental.
For most of modern history, Zionism was treated as a Jewish issue. A political necessity. A response to danger. Important, but limited.
Chanukah reminds us that the Jewish story has never been limited.
When the Maccabees confronted Greek power, they were not fighting only for survival. They were defending the right to live by their values in public. They rejected a culture that promised acceptance in exchange for surrender.
That same tension exists today.

By Daniel Greenfield: Up until around 2020, the legal system worked fairly well mostly because jurors generally did their jobs. Even initially in BLM cases. Then the dam broke, jurors began convicting innocent police officers. Now they routinely refuse to convict obviously guilty defendants in ICE interference cases. What that means is we don’t have a functioning justice system and the law does not apply in certain parts of the country.

A federal jury has acquitted a South L.A. man who was charged with stealing government property by towing an immigration agent’s vehicle during the arrest of a TikTok influencer in Downtown Los Angeles earlier this year.
After a four-day trial and more than three hours of deliberation, the jury found Nunez not guilty of one count of theft of government property Friday, according to the U.S. attorney’s office, which declined to comment on the verdict. He had faced up to 10 years in prison, if convicted.

By Leo Hohmann: New York becomes 13th state to allow doctor-assisted suicide. We should expect more states to join the fray; idea is to make offing yourself a socially acceptable option when you check into hospital.
New York is set to become the latest state to legalize medically assisted suicide for the terminally ill under a deal reached between the governor and the state Legislature, leaders announced on Wednesday.
In an op-ed in the Albany Times Union, Governor Kathy Hochul announced she will sign the proposal after she made an agreement with lawmakers to include a series of “guardrails.”
Hochul, a Catholic, said she came to the decision after hearing from people on all sides of the issue.

The Long Shadow Of Islamic History
Synopsis: Ecclesiastes 1:9 poetically tells us that history always repeats itself, and unfortunately, humanity often fails to learn from it, has a tendency to rewrite it, and in doing so sets the stage for even greater consequences ahead. In our December 2025 Prophecy Update, we examine the history of Islam, its relationship with Israel, the U.S., and the world, see why failing to grasp the Muslim method of operation can be catastrophic, and, most importantly, learn how both history and present-day developments are helping to set up systems that the Bible says will arise in the End Times.
