By Breanna Claussen: It’s not a shocking statement to say that our world has a media problem. Bias, ideology, and lawless journalistic standards have brought the average person’s trust in the media to an all-time low. While this problem is most prominent within secular circles, Christian media has a crisis of its own, and it’s rooted in compromise.
For many years, people have come to Harbinger’s Daily, imploring us to “broaden.” Why does each story and writer need to be in complete agreement on doctrine, Israel, the timing of the rapture, and other Biblically significant issues? We were told repeatedly that our readership would suffer if we did not compromise—just a little—and become more inclusive of differing stances on various subjects.
Of course, these suggestions were quickly shown the door! Why? Because, as the Bible makes abundantly clear: a little leaven leavens the whole lump. Compromising the soundness of your Biblical worldview may make it more appealing to a broader audience, but it undermines the foundation of truth, which is necessary to properly inform, equip, and disciple through God’s Word.
One of the largest Christian news organizations, Christian Post, sadly, has fallen prey to this problem. Recently, I was disturbed to find an article that portrayed trusted California Pastor Jack Hibbs in a “kooky” light for his literal interpretation of Biblical prophecy. What’s most astonishing to note is that Hibbs, as well as being a contributor and ministry partner to Harbinger’s Daily, has also been published by Christian Post. Why, then, was a preterist staff writer penning this hit piece against one of their own contributors?

In a bipartisan 164-268 vote, 57 Republicans joined nearly all Democrats to defeat an amendment by Rep. Thomas Massie that would have rolled back a requirement quietly embedded in federal law. The result should unsettle anyone who still believes personal liberty includes the simple freedom to drive without government supervision.
At issue is a provision from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act directing the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to develop standards that would allow vehicles to "passively monitor" drivers and prevent or limit operation if impairment is detected. Supporters frame it as a public safety measure aimed at reducing drunk driving. But beneath the benevolent language lies a far more troubling reality: this technology opens the door for federal control over when, where, and whether Americans can operate their own vehicles.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis did not mince words, likening the idea to George Orwell's 1984. He's right. A car that can decide--based on opaque algorithms and federal standards--that you are "unfit" to drive is not a neutral safety feature. It is an enforcement mechanism. And enforcement mechanisms, once built, are rarely confined to their original purpose.

Governor Tim Walz was recently filmed on the gate of his Minnesota mansion inciting protesters to violence and to oppose federal ICE operations amid escalating violent unrest in Minneapolis after multiple shootings involving federal agents. In that same climate of defiance, an armed man — Alex Pretti — was shot and killed during a confrontation with federal agents, which has further inflamed tensions.
Alex Pretti was not a random bystander — according to Fox News Digital, encrypted Signal “rapid responder” networks were actively tracking federal agents’ movements and broadcasting their locations in real time around the Minneapolis ICE operation, mobilizing activists to converge on them just minutes before the fatal shooting took place.

Obama popped up to issue a press release attacking federal immigration law enforcement, falsely claiming that, “people across the country have been rightly outraged by the spectacle of masked ICE recruits and other federal agents acting with impunity and engaging in tactics that seem designed to intimidate, harass, provoke and endanger the residents of a major American city.”
The man who funded and freed Islamic terrorists, spied on political opponents and had a man arrested for making a movie about Mohammed, whines that “many of our core values as a nation are increasingly under assault.”

In India in April 2025, Muslims murdered at least 27 people after singling out non-Muslims from Muslims, so as to kill only non-Muslims. In January 2022 in Nigeria, a man recounted that Fulani jihadis stopped him and started beating him. Then they asked him if he was Muslim or Christian; when he said he was Christian, they intensified the beating. In Burkina Faso in November 2021, Muslims asked villagers if they were Christian or Muslim, then killed the Christians. In the Philippines in February 2019, Muslims murdered a man for failing to recite Qur’an verses, while releasing six others who could recite them. In Mali, Muslims screaming “Allahu akbar” took hostages, freeing those who could recite the Qur’an —et cetera, et cetera, et cetera...
