By Jan Markell: More than once, I have written about the mystery of Jews who seem to support their own demise by voting with, and standing by, those who hate them. Some Jews voted into office Ilhan Omar in my home state of Minnesota. Others voted for Mayor Zohran Mamdani in New York. No Jew is now safe there.
Many Jews voted for two anti-Semites – Jimmy Carter and Barack Obama. No two U.S. Presidents did more damage to Israel than these men – yet they got the Jewish vote by and large. Obama, a man with obvious Islamic leanings, got almost 80% of the Jewish vote.
Just 13% of Democrats even have a positive view of Israel! Most on the left seem to favor every Islamic terrorist they have ever met.
I have watched my own Jewish family members who are unbelievers vote Democrat repeatedly and have no explanation for it. They are mind-numbed from watching CNN.

The irony of Iran's rout by its two most-hated enemies -- the "Great Satan" United States and the "Little Satan" Israel -- must be seismic in Iran's major centers, where much of the civilian population openly celebrates, not the end of Israel as intended by Shia clerics, but, instead, the hoped-for final days of an apparently much-hated regime.
Israel long sought to destroy the clock's prominence in Tehran's Palestine Square, and has now succeeded in eliminating most of Iran's military and propaganda infrastructure.
Israel and the US have thwarted Iran's plans to liquidate Israel and the US from the Earth and have stopped the late despotic "Supreme Leader" Ali Khamenei's dream of a Shia Islamic Caliphate dominating the Middle East and beyond.
While it is safe to say Iran's intended Caliphate is now a passing dream, the ideological void will doubtless be filled by Turkey, which seems to hanker for either a resurrected Ottoman Empire or a neo-Ottoman form of national Islamist dominance. The former version -- in essence a Turkish Empire -- endured for 400 years before being finally vanquished in the early 20th century as a result of efforts by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in Turkey's War of Independence, ending in 1924.

The Book of Numbers commands: “Speak to the Israelite people to bring you a red cow without blemish, in which there is no defect and on which no yoke has been laid.” (Numbers 19:2) Its ashes, mixed with spring water, are used to purify those who have come into contact with the dead — a prerequisite for Temple service. The Sages themselves called it a chok, a divine decree beyond human comprehension. It is not a war doctrine. It is a purification ritual.
