By Ken Ham: Do you use AI for Bible study, insight, or even sermon prep? Well, in addition to all the other problems, according to the CEO of YouVersion, a popular Bible app, AI platforms misquote the Bible at least 15% of the time and up to 60%, depending on the AI model.
Many of these changes are minor—commas in the wrong place or minor word shifts—but this is the Word of God we’re talking about. Even the details matter. Jesus made this clear when he said, “For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished.” (Matthew 5:18)
As the YouVersion CEO said, “For Bible translation, every word and punctuation is meaningful to Scripture translation.”
Good translators take each word, comma, and period seriously, doing their best to most accurately convey what God wrote for us in his Word. AI bots are certainly not doing that when they make their own “translations” as they misquote Scripture.
AI can be a useful tool, but it should never replace careful study of the Scriptures for yourself. Christians must understand that not only is AI imperfect and prone to just inventing things out of thin air, but it has a bias that is often reflected in the answers it gives.
Go to the actual Scriptures for spiritual discipleship, not an AI bot. Remember, it is programmed by fallible, sinful humans.

The talks ran four nights at the Renaissance-era Palazzo Orsini Taverna, steps from Vatican City, closed to the press and cameras. Catholic universities in Rome raced to distance themselves. The Vatican's official newspaper called him "an agent of chaos." Protesters gathered in the street outside.
I am not one of them.
Thiel is wrong about some things -- his theological framing carries its own hazards, which I will come to -- but what he has set before that private audience is a question too urgent to leave to Silicon Valley. His core warning: the Antichrist may not arrive as an obvious tyrant but as a comforting administrator, one who promises global safety from catastrophic risk -- artificial intelligence (AI), nuclear war, climate disaster -- and quietly consolidates power in the process. Scripture does not describe a figure who openly opposes God. It describes one who persuades the world he is acting for its good.

This is another fitting example of why many are fleeing New York City. The dynamic is nicely captured in the opening of a piece at Tablet magazine: “My breaking point wasn’t getting mugged,” Josh Greenberg, a digital media strategist who left Park Slope, New York, in early 2022, told me. “It was realizing the city had more sympathy for the guy that mugged me than they did for me.”
Editors note: The reason why I place “fast” in quotes is because you can eat like a horse in the morning and you can eat like a horse in the evening. I do not consider that a “fast.”
