Does Trump’s America Mirror Mystery Babylon? How Gold, Global Influence, False Religion, And National Pride Now Stands In The Light Of Revelation
There is something about Donald Trump that makes the Babylon question almost impossible to ignore. He is not just a politician, not just a brand, and not just a former and present symbol of American power. He is a walking monument to gilded excess, worldly glory, national boasting, and religiously tinted political theater. Gold on the walls, gold in the branding, gold in the imagination, a golden goat in Mar-a-Lago, golden statues, gold as the visual language of success, dominion, and majesty. Add to that the constant appeal to God-language, destiny-language, providence-language, and a form of civil religion that wraps political ambition in sacred vocabulary, and you suddenly find yourself staring at something that looks disturbingly familiar to any Bible believer who has spent any amount of time in Revelation.
On this episode of the Prophecy News Podcast, Babylon in the book of Revelation is a description of a system that generates corruption, exports corruption, multiplies corruption, and mothers corruption. If someone wanted to argue that America under Trump looks like Mystery Babylon, this would be the heart of it: not merely that America is rich, but that it is seductive; not merely that it is powerful, but that it is spiritually adulterous; not merely that it influences nations, but that it teaches nations how to rebel in style. Think about it. What has America exported more successfully than appetite? Appetite for luxury, appetite for image, appetite for entertainment, appetite for self-definition, appetite for wealth, appetite for power without righteousness, and liberty without truth.
That is why Lady Liberty can be read, not perhaps as the literal woman of Revelation 17, but as a chilling type picture of her spirit. A giant woman facing the nations, torch in hand, promising liberty while the nation beneath her exports debt, immorality, bloodshed, seduction, and confusion. That’ll preach because the contrast is quite real. The world is invited in under the banner of freedom, only to be catechized in fornication. Think about this. Donald Trump appointed Paula White as the head of the White House Faith Office, as well as being his ‘spiritual advisor’, and she for all intents and purposes is a witch. Only 17% of Americans told pollsters that they have read the entire Bible, while 48% claim to have read “about half” or more. Sadly, this widespread Bible ignorance is largely due to a lack of trying. The size and complexity of Scripture may intimidate people from ever cracking the cover. Yet biblical muscles, like physical muscles, are best developed through small amounts of exercise every day.
When asked in the January 2026 SOTB survey, “How much of the Bible have you read?” only 17% of Americans said they had read the entire Bible, while another 17% said they had read “most,” 14% said “about half,” 35% said “a little,” 10% said “none,” and 7% said they were not sure.

It is a deeply consequential moment that raises serious questions about how the highest office in the Catholic Church is choosing to represent Christian truth in the public square.
Because this is not simply about respect. No one is arguing against basic courtesy toward Muslims or any other religious group. Christians are called to love their neighbors and treat sacred spaces with dignity. But what happened in Algiers went beyond respect and entered the realm of symbolic participation--actions that inevitably communicate theological agreement where none exists.
Standing in silent reflection in a mosque, directly before the mihrab--the directional focal point of Islamic worship--is not a neutral act. It is not the same as visiting a historical site or engaging in dialogue in a conference room. It is entering a space defined by a specific act of worship to God as understood in Islamic theology, and participating in its atmosphere of devotion without any accompanying doctrinal clarification.

King Charles III, Supreme Governor of the Church of England, issued no Easter message to the hundreds of millions of Christians in the United Kingdom and across the Commonwealth. He did, however, find time in February to wish Muslims a “blessed and peaceful Ramadan,” opening his message with “As-salaamu alaikum,” “peace be upon you” in Arabic, and posting it to the official Royal Family account alongside a graphic reading “Ramadan Mubarak.”
Buckingham Palace confirmed that King Charles would not be releasing an Easter message in 2026, just two months after wishing Muslims a “happy Ramadan.” The Palace defended the omission by noting that, unlike the Christmas broadcast, an Easter message from the monarch is not an established annual tradition. Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams acknowledged the historical point but called the decision “a mistake.” “The King did give a special message to celebrate Ramadan this year. It would therefore surely have been appropriate to have delivered one for Easter, as the controversy over this is one which could and should have been avoided,” Fitzwilliams told Fox News Digital.
Royal commentator Neil Sean was more blunt. “This came as a shock to most UK Christians here in the United Kingdom… we expect a message from the Monarch,” he said. Sean added that British anger has mounted specifically because Charles made video contributions filmed inside Royal palaces for Eid and Ramadan, while Christians received silence. Sean noted that Charles is already being accused in the United Kingdom of being a “secret Muslim.”
