When Donald Trump regained the presidency for a second term, one of the first things he did was to install what we call a cadre of cartoon characters to various high-level positions like the FBI, DHS, AG and others. One by one, they’ve been falling like dominoes. The woman who claimed that the Epstein Files were on her desk and she was ready to start prosecuting, now former Attorney General Pam Bondi, did nothing with those files and now she is gone. The Epstein Files outlasted her, and perhaps, will outlast the entire Trump administration until someone does something with them.
Pam Bondi is out, and if there was a final blow to her already battered standing, the Epstein files controversy may well have been it. By Ken Ham: Canada is one step closer to passing “hate crime” legislation that would make historic Christian beliefs illegal to express. And really, it would make quoting parts of the Bible illegal!
The “Combatting Hate Act” (or Bill C-9), which just moved on to the Senate of Canada, “proposes new Criminal Code offences, including one that would make it a crime to intentionally promote hatred against identifiable groups in public using certain hate- or terrorism-related symbols.” And the bill specifically removes protections for religious freedom:

The Liberals [one of Canada’s political parties] got Bloc [another party] support by including a clause that would remove the religious exemption from Canada’s hate speech law.Of course, they are claiming this will not “criminalize faith,” but we’ve seen what has happened in Europe (and what has already happened in Canada) when “hate crime” legislation is passed. Christians are specifically targeted for their beliefs, especially regarding gender, marriage, and the sanctity of human life. Every thinking person knows that this change to the Criminal Code will be used in exactly the same way eventually (and probably not far in the future). It’s all part of the spiritual battle raging around us as Satan attempts to silence Christians.
The Criminal Code currently includes an exemption for hate speech, “if, in good faith, the person expressed or attempted to establish by an argument an opinion on a religious subject or an opinion based on a belief in a religious text.”

Parking lots will overflow. Extra chairs will be unfolded. Families dressed in spring colors will fill pews, sing "Christ the Lord Is Risen Today," and hear once again the greatest announcement in human history: Jesus Christ is alive.
And in one sense, that is deeply encouraging.
Pastors are expecting one of their biggest crowds of the year, just as they have for years. More than half of U.S. Protestant pastors say Easter is their church's highest-attendance Sunday, and for many others it ranks second or third--alongside Christmas and Mother's Day. In other words, if there is one Sunday Americans still instinctively know matters, it is Easter.
Even better, the doctrine at the center of Easter is still surprisingly strong in the public imagination. Recent State of Theology findings show that roughly two-thirds of U.S. adults agree that the biblical accounts of Jesus' bodily resurrection are accurate, and among those who attend church at least once or twice a month, belief rises to around 90%.
That is the good news.

This is Holy Week on the Christian calendar. It began with Palm Sunday, which commemorates the Triumphal Entry. As Jesus rode a young donkey into Jerusalem, the people shouted, “Hosanna!” and “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”
The symbolism may not be obvious now, but it was then. Hundreds of years before, Zechariah had prophesied that Israel’s king would come “riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.”
This was just one of the many prophecies about the Messiah that Jesus fulfilled. He was born to a virgin in Bethlehem, yet was called out of Egypt. He was from the line of David. He healed the blind, deaf and lame.
The people had every reason to believe that the Messiah had arrived to deliver them. And they knew just what they needed deliverance from — the Roman Empire.
