Modern-Day Christianity Has Become The Lukewarm Laodicean Church Mess That Jesus Warns Us To Overcome

Host And Founder Of ‘Now The End Begins’ Geoffrey Grider:
The Modern Church Has Gone From Preaching Christ Crucified To Marketing Religious Therapy In The Lukewarm Laodicean Age

The modern Christian church has not merely drifted, it has fallen. It has not simply updated its methods, it’s abandoned its message. The church that once stood on the street corner and thundered, “Jesus Christ Is The Answer!” has now become a religious focus group asking the world, “What’s the question?” That is not progress, that’s apostasy. The Bible says there would be a falling away before the time of the end, and we are watching it unfold in real time with pastors leading prayer over a golden statue of Donald Trump.

“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first,” 2 Thessalonians 2:3 (KJV)

“As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” Revelation 3:19-20 (KJV)

Paul did not warn that the last days would be marked by empty church buildings only. He warned of something far more deceptive: churches full of people, full of activity, full of money, full of programs, full of branding, full of music, full of “community,” and yet void of Bible truth. That is the true horror of Laodicea. It doesn’t look dead to the world, it looks successful. The Laodicean Church in Revelation 3 is not poor in money, it’s poor in truth. It is not naked in fashion, it’s naked in righteousness. It is not blind in technology, it’s blind in doctrine.

It doesn’t lack confidence, it lacks Christ, JESUS Christ. The last days church has no need of the King James Bible because it has a hundred modern, and differing, translations. It has no need of preaching because it has TED Talk sermonettes. It has no need of hymns because it has worship bands and fog machines. It has no need of repentance because it has therapy. It has no need of doctrine because it has “conversation”, “sharing your feelings” and “coping classes”. It has no need of biblical separation because it wants cultural relevance. It has no need of prophecy because it has purpose-driven optimism.

We need more negative preaching. It has no need of the old paths because it has market research. But worst of all, it has no need of Jesus Christ standing in the midst, because it has built a church system where He is outside the door, knocking to get back in. Today you show you, in no uncertain terms, the unimaginable depth of the falling away, and the chaotic condition of the last days and lukewarm Laodicean Church.

Harbinger’s Daily
By Ken Ham: Many years ago, I coauthored a book called Already Compromised, detailing research we commissioned on the state of Christian colleges—and the “report card” wasn’t good. Research showed many of these colleges, which looked great from the outside, were extremely compromised with man’s ideas. Instead of standing boldly on God’s Word, many of these schools sowed seeds of doubt in the minds of their students.

Things haven’t gotten any better over the years. A while ago, author Randy Alcorn published an article with an interesting title: “The Problem of False Advertising by Christian Colleges.” He writes, “Over twenty years ago, I wrote an article titled The Scandal of Evangelical Dishonesty. The subjects I addressed were uncomfortable and controversial, including the issue of false advertising by Christian colleges. But this problem has not gone away, and if anything, the situation is worse now than it was then.”

I would agree—the problem in our Christian colleges has not gotten better with time. Even more have compromised on Scripture, even if their supporters and the parents of students don’t know it yet. Alcorn went on to say...

Prophecy News Watch
By PNW Staff: The slow but measurable decline of the Euphrates River has begun to capture attention far beyond environmental and geopolitical circles. Once a lifeline of ancient civilizations and a defining boundary of empires, the river is now increasingly viewed through a more symbolic lens—especially among those who study biblical prophecy. For some observers, the shrinking waters are not just an ecological warning sign, but a potential alignment with ancient predictions found in the Book of Revelation.

A recent report warning that the Euphrates could be at risk of significant depletion by 2040 has intensified concern. Satellite data suggests the basin has already lost more than 34 cubic miles of freshwater since the early 2000s—an astonishing volume equivalent to roughly 13 million Olympic-sized swimming pools. The causes are well documented: prolonged drought, rising temperatures, heavy damming upstream, and increasing water demands from multiple nations that rely on the river for survival.

And yet, for those who view current events through a prophetic framework, the data carries an additional layer of meaning.

In the Book of Revelation, chapter 16 describes a striking moment: “The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the East.” In ancient context, the Euphrates was more than a river—it was a geopolitical boundary, a natural defense line that separated the ancient Near East from eastern powers. The imagery of it drying up symbolized the removal of a barrier, allowing massive movements of forces toward a final conflict often associated with Armageddon.

Gatestone Institute
By Pierre Rehov: Riyadh has chosen its words with care, yet the meaning could hardly be more clear. Saudi Arabia will not recognize the State of Israel -- not under the present Israeli government and -- here comes the poison pill -- not before the creation of an independent Palestinian state along the 1949 "Auschwitz" armistice lines, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The Saudi foreign minister has framed this stance as a strategic principle rather than a negotiating position. A 2025 survey conducted by the Washington Institute for Near East Policy revealed that 99% of Saudi citizens view normalization with Israel as a negative development. The Abraham Accords, once touted as a breakthrough, have quietly moved, in Saudi political conversation, into the deep freeze.

Once US President Donald J. Trump, without Saudi Arabia lifting a finger, relieved the kingdom of its foremost adversary, Iran, and removed the major threat to the kingdom, what would Saudi Arabia need Israel for anyway? To the Saudis, the Abraham Accords doubtless look like an agreement signed by others, but never embraced by the one Arab power that truly mattered.

Only the packaging has changed. After the UN adopted the 1947 partition plan, the Arab League and the Arab states rejected it and opposed any form of Jewish sovereignty on any part of the land, and chose war instead of the two-state solution on offer from the international community.

Geller Report
By Pamela Geller: President Trump has been waiting for Iran to transmit its latest negotiating proposal, and on Sunday, it finally landed on his desk. Trump was not happy.

Why are these blood-soaked savages given a seat at the negotiating table at all? Their barbarism, butchery, and unrelenting carnage disqualifies them from civilized discourse altogether. You do not negotiate with monsters who revel in slaughter — you isolate, crush, and defeat them.

Hope For Our Times
 The Truth Daily News 05-11-26

Synopsis: Daily news in 15 minutes or less through the lens of the Bible, Pastor Tom Hughes and Craig Clark break down two alarming stories that reveal just how quickly biblical warnings are unfolding before our eyes.

First, they discuss the controversy surrounding a massive 22-foot golden statue of Donald Trump and the surprising reaction from a Catholic publication comparing it to the golden calf in Exodus 32. Is this political theater, hypocrisy, or a warning sign of deeper spiritual deception? Pastor Tom and Craig examine the growing culture of personality worship, idolization, and the parallels to Nebuchadnezzar’s image in the Book of Daniel.

Then, they turn to a shocking story out of Northern Ireland where a pastor was convicted simply for preaching the Gospel near a hospital located close to an abortion clinic. As Christian freedoms continue to erode across Europe and the West, Pastor Tom explains why persecution against believers should not surprise us—and why Jesus and the apostles warned these days were coming.
