Trump’s America First Agenda Has Now Become State-Directed Capitalism As Washington Takes Equity Stakes In Major Corporations
Host And Founder Of ‘Now The End Begins’ Geoffrey Grider:
Washington Is Becoming Shareholder, Regulator, Banker And Broker Under Trump As State-Directed Capitalism Replaces The Free Market Economy With Government Control
Back in 2010, author Ian Bremmer warned “We are no longer in a global, free-market economy. There are now two systems out there. There is a free-market system, largely in the developed world. There is a state-directed capitalist system in China, Russia and the Persian Gulf. The systems are mutually incompatible. When your principal actors are multinational corporations in the private sector and they rely for their growth on unfettered access to global markets, and state capitalist systems don’t do that, you are going to have a problem. And we are just at the beginning of that problem.” Here in 2026, that is starting to look like a prophecy that is now being fulfilled under Donald Trump with the rise of state-directed capitalism, the antithesis of America First. That warning shot to Trump’s ear back in 2024 at the rally in Butler, PA, is now paying big dividends for the Deep State.
16 years ago Ian Bremmer warned that the world was no longer operating under one global free-market system. He said there were now two systems: the free-market system of the United States and other western nations, and the state-capitalist system of China, Russia, and the Persian Gulf. Sixteen years later, under Trump, America is not merely confronting that system, Washington is busy adopting it. Government equity stakes, national-security industrial policy, strategic corporate ownership, and taxpayer-backed national champions are exactly the mechanics of state-directed capitalism. The latest reports say the Trump administration is moving beyond traditional grants, loans, and tax credits and is now taking direct equity stakes in strategic companies. Today’s reporting says the Commerce Department is backing a roughly $2 billion quantum-computing initiative involving equity stakes or minority-investment arrangements across companies including IBM, Intel, US Steel, GlobalFoundries, Quantinuum, PsiQuantum, Atom Computing, Rigetti, D-Wave, Infleqtion, and Diraq.
State-directed capitalism is ripped straight out of the Council on Foreign Relations playbook going back as far as 2016 when Trump first became president. The global economic model is shifting under our feet. The same state-capitalist machinery once associated with China and Russia is now being repackaged in America with patriotic language and labeled as ‘America First’. This is where we are on Day 2,258 of 15 Days To Flatten The Curve!

“And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.” Luke 4:5-7 (KJV)

Harbinger’s Daily
By Steve Herzig: Among the many things God cares about, three stand out: Israel, Jerusalem, and the Temple.
During my Hebrew-school days, I learned about these things in multiple ways. From the Jewish Scriptures, I learned God set Jerusalem in the midst of the nations (Ezek. 5:5). From the Midrash (rabbinic commentary), I read that this world is like an eyeball: The white of the eye is the world; the iris is Jerusalem; and the pupil is the Holy Temple.
I learned that when Jews pray, we face Jerusalem—unless we are in Jerusalem; then we pray toward the Temple. I learned that we always conclude the Passover seder meal by chanting in unison, “Next year in Jerusalem!”
At the conclusion of a Jewish wedding ceremony, the bridegroom breaks a glass. Some say it is a sign of mourning to commemorate the destruction of the Temple that once stood atop Mount Moriah. Afterward, the bridegroom recites Psalm 137:5–6: “If I forget you, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget its skill! If I do not remember you, let my tongue cling to the roof of my mouth—if I do not exalt Jerusalem above my chief joy.”
From the holy writings to the traditions, the Jewish connection to Israel, Jerusalem, and the Temple is everywhere, extending back 3,000 years. Such history would seem enough to settle what is today an extremely controversial question: Was there a Jewish presence in Israel, Jerusalem, and the Temple Mount before the Dome of the Rock and al-Aqsa Mosque were built there? But apparently, it isn’t.
The United Nations and imam of Jerusalem both claim there was no Jewish presence. In fact, UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) denies all Jewish connections to Jerusalem. The grand mufti of Jerusalem, Sheikh Muhammad Ahmad Hussein, who oversees the Temple Mount, claims no Jewish Temple even stood there.

End Of The American Dream
By Michael Snyder: It just keeps happening over and over again. False rumors about a peace deal between the United States and Iran start circulating, and a lot of people out there just keep falling for it. How many times is this going to play out? Look, the reality of the matter is that Iran is only going to make a deal if President Trump basically surrenders and gives the Iranians everything on their completely absurd wishlist. If that doesn’t happen, there simply isn’t going to be a deal. The Iranians and the Trump administration are not even in the same universe when it comes to the nuclear issues, and as I discussed in my last article, the fact that the Iranians intend to make the status quo in the Strait of Hormuz permanent is completely and utterly unacceptable to U.S. officials. Those that keep expecting some sort of a “breakthrough” are going to be disappointed every single time.
On Thursday, so many sources were reporting that a “final draft” of a peace agreement had been agreed to and that a formal announcement was imminent.
But it was completely fake news, and it was soon exposed as completely fake news.
The Iranians have not moved from their core negotiating positions and they aren’t going to move.
At this point, the Iranians are telling us that negotiations are in a “permanent deadlock” and that they have “no desire to even continue negotiations.”

By PNW Staff: The rise of artificial intelligence has sparked legitimate fears about cyberwarfare, mass surveillance, deepfakes, economic disruption, and even autonomous weapons. In response, a growing number of world leaders, tech executives, and international organizations are now calling for a centralized global body to regulate AI development. On the surface, it sounds responsible. After all, who wouldn't want safeguards against dangerous technology?
But beneath the polished language about "global cooperation" and "shared standards" lies something far larger: another accelerating step toward global governance, where unelected international bodies gain increasing authority over nations, economies, speech, and eventually human behavior itself.
This week, OpenAI openly backed the creation of a U.S.-led global AI governance organization that would include communist China as a member. Chris Lehane, OpenAI's vice president of global affairs, suggested the body could function similarly to the International Atomic Energy Agency, which establishes international standards around nuclear energy.
The proposal is being framed as a way to create "safer" and "more resilient" AI systems worldwide. Yet history teaches that international institutions rarely remain neutral guardians of freedom. Instead, they often become political tools shaped by ideological pressure, global elites, and shifting cultural agendas.
Americans have already watched this happen repeatedly with the United Nations itself.

American Thinker
By Jeffrey Folks: On April 3, a 51-year-old woman was murdered by a man wielding a hammer as she exited a Chevron gas station in Ft. Myers, Florida. The attack was captured on video, and from the video, it appears that the woman didn’t realize until the last second what was happening. It was too unexpected. The victim had undoubtedly exited that gas station, where she reportedly worked as a clerk, dozens if not hundreds of times before and felt secure. In the video, she shows no sign of apprehension, but as long as anyone like her killer is at large in America, none of us is completely safe from this kind of unexpected attack.
The hammer murder was so vicious that it captured the attention of President Trump, who condemned it on Truth Social. A murder of this kind — of a totally innocent and unsuspecting middle-aged woman by a strong young man in the most brutal fashion and in broad daylight — is extreme, but not entirely uncommon. It actually epitomizes what has come about in America today, since most murders are carried out by directionless young men, often by illegals and often for no reason (can there be a “reason”?) other than wanting to kill.
The president’s posting, which included “an extremely graphic video — not for children,” identified the accused as 40-year-old Rolbert Joachin, an illegal alien from Haiti who had been released by Joe Biden under the much abused “Temporary Protective Status” program. Trump stated that liberal judges have been blocking the deportation of persons like Joachin, despite the president’s repeated efforts to end the TPS program and deport them. Trump’s DHS assisted the Ft. Myers police in tracking down and arresting the accused. In his statements regarding this killing as in so much else concerning illegal aliens, the president was totally correct.

Becoming Hate Speech?
Synopsis: Is tolerance becoming the world’s new religion? In this episode of The Final Hour, Pastor David breaks down how biblical truth is increasingly being labeled as hate speech, how interfaith unity is being pushed across culture, and why Christians must stay grounded in Scripture instead of compromising doctrine for acceptance.
From the rise of religious tolerance movements to the pressure against saying Jesus is the only way, this message exposes how today’s culture is moving toward unity without truth — and why believers need discernment now more than ever..
