Harbinger’s Daily
By Answers In Genensis: Since religious freedom has been a hot-button social issue and is more and more frequently covered in secular and Christian news media outlets, we sometimes are asked these questions. Does the Bible address religious freedom, and, if so, what does it say and where?

The Apostle Paul (and his traveling companions on various mission trips) is perhaps the most notable example of a biblical figure who suffered religious persecution and also on occasion stood up for his religious liberty. It is interesting that Paul did so in a government that had some similarities to Western nations.

The Roman system of government was, at the time of Paul, an imperial republic with guaranteed rights for Roman citizens, and in most cases even had a sense of civic responsibility for carrying out and maintaining civil law (to a degree), although this varied from emperor to emperor. While it is true that Rome was moving towards an imperial dictatorship and that, by the time of Paul’s martyrdom, it had arrived at that point, compared to many other nations’ governments, a Roman citizen could expect to receive a reasonably fair trial. Most people within the Roman Empire until the time of Nero (and even afterwards, depending on whether the emperor deemed himself “divine”) could expect to be left alone in regard to freedom of worship. By no means did they have the freedoms which we enjoy today in the West, but conditions were much better than many people have had throughout history, and better than many alive today who suffer under brutal dictatorships.

Paul and Silas in Philippi

So how does all of this come together in Scripture in regard to religious freedom? Well we see several cases where Paul appealed to his Roman citizenship or his religious affiliations to avoid persecution or to hold people accountable when he was persecuted unjustly. In Acts 16, when Paul and Silas went to Philippi, Paul cast out a demon from a servant girl, and her masters were not pleased (Acts 16:18–19). They incited a mob and dragged Paul and Silas before the magistrates, who commanded them to be beaten and thrown in prison (Acts 16:22–23).

Prophecy News Watch
By PNW Staff: Within just a matter of hours, the earth delivered a powerful reminder that humanity lives on a restless planet.

A devastating series of earthquakes struck Venezuela. A powerful 6.9-magnitude earthquake rattled Japan. Northern California was shaken by a magnitude 5.6 quake that triggered dozens of aftershocks.

Individually, none of these events prove anything prophetically. Earthquakes happen every year, and geologists rightly caution against drawing conclusions from any single event.

But when several significant earthquakes occur almost simultaneously, they capture people's attention—and they naturally raise an uncomfortable question:

How prepared are we if something much larger is coming?

Israel 365 News
By Tamar Stein: A United Nations official charged with defending women worldwide just submitted a formal report to the Human Rights Council titled Violence against Mothers — and somehow found no room to mention the Hamas terrorists who burned Israeli mothers alive in their homes, kidnapped nursing mothers with their infants, and spent more than two years psychologically torturing the families of hostages. This is a pattern, and UN Watch has now documented it in devastating detail.

The Torah commands us: “Justice, justice shall you pursue” (Devarim 16:20). The word tzedek, justice, repeats twice to emphasize that true justice must be pursued with integrity in both substance and process. What Reem Alsalem delivered to Geneva this month is the precise opposite https://x.com/UNWatch/status/2069066797685379215

Alsalem, a Jordanian consultant who has served as UN Special Rapporteur on violence against women since 2021, released her June 2026 report to the Human Rights Council with detailed accusations against Israel and not a single word about October 7. According to the UN Watch analysis authored by legal advisor Dina Rovner, the report makes one-sided accusations based on misleading and incomplete facts, while completely ignoring Hamas’s deliberate targeting of Israeli mothers, children, and families, and the more than two years of psychological torture inflicted on hostage families.

The omission is not careless. A December 2024 report by Israel’s Civil Commission on October 7 Crimes by Hamas Against Women and Children documented how Hamas terrorists killed parents and children in front of each other, kidnapped families including infants, separated mothers and children in captivity, and used social media to broadcast abuses to relatives as a form of psychological torture.

Geller Report
By Pamela Geller: “Moderate” Democrats are an endangered species as the Democratic Socialists of America conducts a hostile takeover of the party. Even the ‘progressives’ have a target on their backs, as the Socialists conduct a hostile takeover.

CNN: The wins signify how New York politics and the Democratic Party have a new power broker. Hakeem Jeffries, the Brooklyn-based House Democratic leader, is losing two incumbent members and facing an ascendant band of agitators. And the people long in charge in Democratic politics, including the ones who for decades thought of themselves as the insurgents, aren’t happy about it. They say they feel betrayed, left with a mayor they cannot trust. Around the city council, people who considered themselves his allies are sharing a line, according to one member who spoke to CNN on the condition of anonymity: Mamdani is only interested in allyship on his terms. Council members are talking about ways to give Mamdani his comeuppance, whether holding up funding for parts of his agenda or smaller ways of needling him.

Mamdani and those closest to him say: This is what a revolution looks like, on his terms... (CNN.)

Front Page Magazine
By Mark Tapson: For those who cling to the insistence that President Trump is always playing 5D chess with his opponents, now would be a great time to explain to the rest of us what the strategy is behind his repeated recent moves to empower our existential Islamic enemies.

First Trump prevented Israel from finishing the job with the savage terror group Hamas in Gaza, going so far as to promise to invest in developing the Palestinian territories into the “Riviera of the Middle East.” Then, after vowing to rescue the Iranian people from the oppressive fundamentalist regime, Trump stopped short of finishing that job and made a deal with the mullahs and the IRGC instead of crushing them to the last man and demanding unconditional surrender.

Now Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance, who apparently remains tight with Islam apologist Tucker Carlson, are paving the way to sell F-35 fighter jets to Turkey, which is ruled by Islamic supremacist President Recep Erdogan.

In Trump’s first term, his administration removed Turkey from the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program and blocked any sales or deliveries of the jets over concerns that Turkey’s Russian air defense system could collect sensitive data on the stealth fighter’s capabilities, potentially compromising it for NATO allies. Now Trump is pressing for a workaround.

Jihad Watch
By Robert Spencer: Tucker Carlson never actually said “The problem is Islam. The problem is Muslims. They all want to kill us. They’re all crazy. They’re all in this lunatic suicide cult created by Muhammad in the 7th century.”

Tucker Carlson is committing the all too common fallacy of conflating Islam and Muslims. In reality, to say that there are problems with Islam, or even that “the problem with Islam,” doesn’t say anything about “all Muslims,” because there are degrees of knowledge of the religion and commitment to it among Muslims, just as there are among adherents of all religions. No serious analyst ever says “all Muslims want to kill us,” or that all the members of any group want to do anything. If Tucker Carlson had ever said on his Fox show or anywhere else that “all Muslims want to kill us,” he would have been the object of screaming headlines, excoriating him for his “Islamophobia” and demanding that he retract, apologize, end his show, and do various forms of public penance such as visiting a mosque or chatting with officials of the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). None of that ever happened, because Tucker never said this.

Also, those of us who did dare to point out that Islam had doctrines of warfare against unbelievers were smeared, defamed, marginalized, deplatformed, and silenced. If Tucker Carlson had said this, which we were accused of saying but that none of us ever actually said, he would never have been allowed to continue to occupy his massive platform.

The Economic Collapse
By Michael Snyder: The Iranians have never wavered from their position that they intend to control traffic through the Strait of Hormuz permanently. They just underscored this point by launching an attack on a cargo vessel near the coast of Oman. During the 60 day negotiation window with the United States, Iran is not charging commercial vessels to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, but they are insisting that coordination with the Iranian military is mandatory. Any travel that does not go through “designated corridors” is strictly prohibite.
