By Tim Moore: In July 1776, none of us were alive when the Founding Fathers declared America independent from British rule. Contemporary and secular scholars often overlook the fact that they were steeped in a Judeo-Christian worldview. But the United States was clearly established as a nation that recognized “Nature’s God” as the author of our liberties and worthy of our praise.
I was alive in 1976, when America celebrated its bicentennial. A collection of national treasures (or at least their replicas) came to my school—undoubtedly one of many such traveling museums. Even then, the “Spirit of ’76” was a slogan that rang with patriotism and appreciation.
Now, just fifty years later, many in our own country would rather denounce than celebrate our national heritage. Their scorn is heaped highest on the faith foundations our Founders unashamedly endorsed: reverence for God, respect for the Savior, and a recognition that the affairs of men are subject to His overarching authority. We’ve come a long way—in the wrong direction. And as we mark a national milestone, we’re reminded that history is moving toward God’s appointed end.
For two millennia—eight times as long as America has endured—Christians have studied the prophetic promises in Scripture and taken God at His Word. They have longed to be gathered to Christ and dwell in the place He has prepared for us. But they have also been conduits of His blessing on this earth—seeking the welfare of the societies in which they live. They have also acted as a restraint on the wickedness that will surely break out once the Church is removed. ...

The campaign arrives at a moment when public appetite for Temple-related preparation appears to be surging: a recent survey found 55 percent of Israeli Jews now support rebuilding the Holy Temple on the Temple Mount, and a report published this week put the number of men enrolled in Temple service training at 150,000, out of a planned 200,000. “This is not a private event or private issue,” declared Yehuda Ben Tzvi, head of programming at the Mikdash Educational Center, in an interview with Joseph Good of Hatikva Ministries. The calf, he announced, is only one piece of a six-point national strategy the organization has spent the past year building, one Ben Tzvi insists must become “a national historical event” rather than the work of a small circle of activists.
The campaign’s appeal to ordinary Israelis is no longer confined to grassroots circles. On Sunday, Israel365 News published an editorial by Yosef Eitan reporting that the government has quietly called for training 200,000 men in the procedures of Temple service, with 150,000 already enrolled. The Israeli government itself has not formally endorsed the broader Temple movement, but the figures Eitan cited suggest the Israeli public increasingly has. Last week, Israel365 News reported on a new survey commissioned by the Temple Mount Heritage Foundation and conducted by the Direct Polls Institute, which found that support among Israeli Jews for rebuilding the Beit HaMikdash (Holy Temple) on Har HaBayit (the Temple Mount) now stands at 55 percent. ...

By Michael Snyder: As we approach America’s 250th birthday, a lot of people are reflecting on how much our society has changed over the years. If we could go back to 1776, we would be absolutely shocked by how different day to day life was back then. Early Americans didn’t have everything handed to them, and so they had to work extremely hard. But even though conditions were often very rough, the population was also very civilized. That actually didn’t change for a long time. Even as recently as 100 years ago, people living in the western world were very highly civilized. The way they dressed, the way they spoke and the way that they carried themselves commanded respect. Of course if our ancestors could see us today, they would be deeply shocked by how far we have fallen.
One of the primary reasons why our culture has shifted so dramatically is because we have embraced completely different values.
In early America, more than 95 percent of the population was made up of Bible-believing Christians.
But today we have gone down a much different road.
New York City’s world famous pride parade was on Sunday. It was being projected that approximately 2 million people would come out and watch the parade in person. ...

By Yoe Suarez: In Nigeria, 79,323 people lost their lives in 15,434 attacks. These are the figures resulting from violence in the African nation during the six-year period between October 2019 and September 2025, according to a report by the Observatory for Religious Freedom in Africa (ORFA). This amounts to an average of seven attacks per day within the country.
Amidst this sea of bloodshed, Christian civilians were “disproportionately” affected, according to ORFA. They faced a relative risk of death 4.4 times higher and a relative risk of abduction 3.2 times higher than Muslim civilians.
The report identifies Fulani terrorist groups and unidentified terrorist groups as responsible for the vast majority of civilian deaths and abductions — far surpassing the combined impact of the infamous Boko Haram and its offshoot, the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP).
In other words, the Fulani terrorism — which the BBC in 2016 attributed not to a campaign against the Christian population but merely to disputes between herders and farmers — is so real that it has surpassed the lethality of the region’s better-known Islamist groups. ...
