Baseless Accusations Against Israel:
Border Walls Do Not Equal ‘Apartheid’
Border Walls Do Not Equal ‘Apartheid’
By Olivier Melnick: When people hear the word “apartheid,” it usually triggers thoughts that take them back several decades, all the way to South Africa. The names Nelson Mandela or Desmond Tutu come to mind, as they were both pillars of the anti-apartheid movement. What is apartheid anyway? Is it still in effect anywhere in the world and how?
According to Encyclopedia Britannica, apartheid is a “policy that governed relations between South Africa’s white minority and nonwhite majority for much of the latter half of the 20th century, sanctioning racial segregation and political and economic discrimination against nonwhites.” Apartheid ONLY existed in South Africa from 1948 to the mid-1990s as a policy of racial segregation and superiority, and it was wrong on so many levels. It does not apply to any other parts of the world, never has and never will, and yet, Israel is constantly being accused of apartheid because of the wall that has been built in Judea & Samaria. To be fair, when it comes to walls, Israel can now join Egypt and the Vatican.
Did you know that the Vatican had a 39-foot-high wall all around Vatican City? It was built in the mid-9th century for protection against pirates and other looters. It protected the papal city for centuries. Today, while the Vatican wall is not serving in a protective manner, it remains around the city as a symbol, and it officially delineates its borders.

By Victor Davis Hanson/Daily Signal: We're hearing more and more from the Democratic Socialists of America about all of the sins of America and very little of the good things we've done to ourselves and to the world at large on our 250th birthday.
What is it, the nature of this DSA, Democratic Socialists of America, and the diversity, equity, inclusion criticism that we were racist, sexist, nativist, cruel, ruthless, etc., etc.
But my question is, compared to what?
Mao Zedong? He killed 70 million people. He was the greatest mass murderer in history, and that government is still communist in an unbroken chain from Chinese leader Xi Jinping all the way back to Mao. Do we ever talk about that or the million people who are in concentration camps in China?

Echoes Of The Roman Conquest Of Jerusalem In Today’s Islamic Conquest Of The West
By Jonathan Feldstein: Across the world this week, Jews are observing the saddest day on the Biblical calendar, a day of mourning and fasting in commemoration of the destruction of the First Temple (586 BCE) and the Second Temple (70 CE), along with other calamities that have befallen the Jewish people on the same day – the ninth of the Hebrew month of Av – across millennia. These are not a coincidence, and our observance and mourning are with deep introspection.
The destruction of the Temples in Jerusalem pulled the rug out from under the cornerstone of Jewish life, something which we still experience today. Sadly, there are parallels in the Roman siege and conquest of Jerusalem 1956 years ago with the current siege of Western society by Islamists today.
In the year 70, the Romans destroyed Jerusalem, burning it down, purging and scattering its people with no regard for humanity. Rather than governing the foreign province of Judea with the brutal heel they were known for, they completely eviscerated the foundation, the economic infrastructure, and all the values of the remnants of Jewish sovereignty in the Land of Israel. The consequences endured until Jewish sovereignty returned in the twentieth century
The Romans’ breaching of the walls of Jerusalem then, and the Islamic breaching of Western values and societies today, portend the same calamitous outcome.
In 70 CE, the Roman legions under Titus encircled and then penetrated the walls of Jerusalem. Roman forces stormed the city, destroyed the Second Temple – the spiritual and national heart of Judaism – looted its treasures, and razed it. Josephus, the Jewish historian who witnessed the events, described famine, massacre, and enslavement on a massive scale. Rome celebrated with a triumphal parade, showcasing sacred looted artifacts like the Golden Menorah, the Table of Showbread, and trumpets through the streets.
The Arch of Titus, still standing in Rome, immortalizes this conquest, depicting the spoils as symbols of Roman dominance over a defeated faith and people. It is also among the elements of evidence etched into stone nearly 2,000 years ago that depict the truth of Jewish sovereignty in the Land that was brought to an end.

Enshrining Islam as a State Religion: Massachusetts Proposes Government Islam Commission
By Pamela Geller: Massachusetts is advancing a bill that would create ‘a permanent commission on the status of people who practice Islam.’
As I have often warned, Muslims are the only immigrant group who come to the West with a ready made model of society they believe to be superior to Western law and they work furiously, by all means, to impose it. Under Islam, shariah (Islamic) law supersedes Western law. Anywhere Western law and Shariah law conflict, it is always Western law that must give way.
What those of us working in defense of freedom did not expect, was the craven capitulation and cowardice by Western left elites to Islamic supremacy.

First The Jews, Then The Gays: Seattle Muslim Congressional Candidate Shows The Next Step
By Daniel Greenfield: Melissa Chaudhry is a white leftist woman who married a Muslim man and converted to Islam and kept running for public office on a platform of being anti-Israel. Since Seattle has no other problems, this is a pretty good bet for winning a Democrat primary.
Melissa is running against Rep. Adam Smith, a Dem who has been somewhat pro-Israel, and explained his recent vote to cut off aid to Israel, as due to the sustained harassment of his family by the types of people likely backing his opponents.

“My family and I have had our home vandalized, a fire has been set in my driveway, my neighbors’ lives have been disrupted by demonstrations in the middle of the night, town halls meant to be forums for dialogue have been shut down, and a staff member has been physically assaulted.”There’s a problem though because there are two far leftist candidates in the race coming after Smith for being insufficiently pro-Hamas, Chaudhry and Kshama Sawant.

Israel’s Earthquake Relief Mission in Venezuela Returns Home After Weeks of Aid Efforts and Reconstruction Support
By Ailin Vilches Arguello: Israel’s earthquake-relief delegation has returned home after nearly three weeks in Venezuela, leaving behind a national recovery plan, continued technical support, and an unexpected diplomatic opening between two countries that have had no formal relations for 17 years.
Ahead of the delegation’s departure, acting Venezuelan President Delcy Rodríguez met with representatives of the Israel Defense Forces and Foreign Ministry to thank them for their work following the devastating twin earthquakes that struck the country on June 24.
The Israeli team presented Rodríguez with key elements of a recovery plan developed jointly with Venezuelan authorities. Israeli experts will continue advising the government remotely as reconstruction efforts move forward, according to Israel’s Foreign Ministry.
The conclusion of the mission capped an unusual episode of cooperation between Jerusalem and Caracas. Venezuela severed diplomatic relations with Israel in 2009 under then-President Hugo Chávez, becoming one of Israel’s most strident opponents in Latin America.

Trump Getting Taste Of His Own Medicine From An Emboldened Iran, Which Now Has Russia Feeding It Weapons And Intelligence
By Leo Hohmann: The Trump administration is getting a hard lesson on the essence of that old adage: Paybacks can be a b----!
After more than four years of the U.S. funding and supplying Ukraine and using that country as a battering ram to weaken Russia, the regime in Washington has allowed itself to be weakened by Russia in the same way.
While Ukraine is serving the role of America’s proxy against Russia, Iran has emerged as Russia’s proxy against America.
There is now evidence that Russia, and likely China too, are funneling weapons and intelligence to the Iranians.
