By Calvary Chapel Magazine: “Of the 56 men who shaped the Declaration of Independence, more than half of them, 29 had some form of seminary or Bible school degrees,” noted Gary Hamrick, senior pastor of Cornerstone Chapel in Leesburg, VA, in a May 2026 teaching honoring the 250th birthday of our country. “They acknowledged that it was upon God that this nation was founded. They so relied on Him, that they were willing to sign their names and to die for this cause, if necessary.”

Our laws are based on the Judeo-Christian philosophy of life. I see the U.S. as being a “city on a hill.”
“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:14-16 ...

By PNW Staff: For centuries, the Church has stood at the bedside of the dying with a simple but profound mission: to comfort the suffering, proclaim the hope of Christ, and remind both the living and the dying that life belongs ultimately to God. That sacred calling is now being dramatically redefined in Canada.
The Anglican Church of Canada has authorized the trial use of a 66-page liturgy specifically designed for those choosing Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD), complete with prayers before the lethal drugs are administered, prayers afterward, confession, anointing with oil, Holy Communion, blessings, and other rites traditionally reserved for preparing believers to meet God.
It is difficult to overstate the significance of this decision.
This is not merely the Church ministering to someone who has already decided to end his or her life. It is the Church creating an official religious framework surrounding the act itself. Whether intended or not, the message received by many believers will be unmistakable: euthanasia is compatible with faithful Christian discipleship.

By Tamar Stein: Tucker Carlson, the former Fox News host turned independent podcaster, accused Israel of running an “apartheid situation” and announced plans to help launch a third political party in the United States, in an interview published Wednesday by the Columbia Journalism Review. The remarks mark the most explicit break yet between Carlson and both the Republican establishment and the Trump administration he once championed.
Carlson told CJR he had avoided criticizing Israel for most of his career because the subject felt “too personal,” adding that he had long operated under what he called an “unwritten rule” that criticism of Israel amounts to criticism of Jews generally. He claimed his private views have not changed in twenty years. “I’ve been to Israel a lot, so I’m fully aware of the apartheid situation in Israel,” Carlson said. “I’ve been offended by it going back twenty years.”
Carlson said the immediate trigger for going public was the 2025 war with Iran, which he described as “the first salvo in a regime-change effort led by Israel.” He said he warned Trump directly, during three White House visits in the month before the war began, that toppling the regime in Tehran would not produce “a democratic, pro-Western government.” According to Carlson, Trump’s response was simply, “I know.”

Carlson framed his falling-out with Trump in the language of betrayal, telling CJR he feels sorry for a president he now regards as unable to control his own administration’s direction. “He’s not a man in charge of his own life at this point,” Carlson said. That claim collapses under its own weight: Trump remains the sitting president of the United States, commanding the executive branch, the military, and a Republican Congress. Carlson’s sympathy is a rhetorical device, not an argument. ...

Yet through civil war, depressions, world wars, a century-long “march through the institutions” by the Marxist Left, and so much more, the American constitutional order has endured.
