By Answers In Genesis: When I was growing up, my church had a huge Fourth of July celebration. The church service featured hymns like “God Bless America,” honoring service members, and a sermon about how our founders created a nation like no other based on their belief in God. I felt truly blessed to be in a nation where we were free, unlike so many others.

But today, it’s easy to feel more ambivalent about such celebrations. Can we really ask God to bless America when so much of the culture is in open opposition to the Bible? Can we sing “God Bless America” mere days after the end of “Pride Month”?

For the answer, we can look at the earliest Christians in pagan Rome. Slavery, infanticide, idol worship, and all sorts of sexual sin were not just allowed but institutionalized. The new converts to Christianity in that culture had to apply their faith in a culture that was utterly opposed to their faith, to the point of sometimes being martyred. The New Testament’s civic instructions to Christians in the pagan culture of the day still apply to us. ...

By Tamar Stein: The Islamic Republic of Iran is preparing to confiscate St. Peter Evangelical Church in Tehran, the country’s oldest Protestant church, and expel the 20 families who have lived on its historic compound for years. The move, confirmed by church leaders, human rights monitors, and multiple international outlets this week, marks the most significant assault yet on what remains of organized Christian worship inside the Islamic Republic. face. We slapped them on the face back. And then America withdrew. So we are no longer afraid of America.”

St. Peter’s, also known locally as the Qavam Church after its address on Si-e-Tir Street, was founded in 1876 by American Presbyterian missionaries on land granted by the Qajar monarch Naser al-Din Shah. For nearly 150 years it has served Tehran’s Armenian and Assyrian Christian community. Iranian security forces are now moving to end that history.

Sasan Tavassoli, a U.S.-based minister with ties to the Presbyterian Church in Iran, described the moment regime agents delivered their message to the congregation. “Six security forces went into the church and sat through a session, saying they wanted to ‘identify’ people,” Tavassoli told Iran International. “They said they’ll return later to evacuate those living on the premises and take over.” face. By PNW Staff: The Presbyterian Church has spent decades debating sexuality, marriage, and biblical authority. But its latest decision may represent something far more consequential than another policy change. It creates a system that allows churches to screen pastors based on their views of LGBTQ theology before they are ever seriously considered for ministry.

Supporters call it efficiency.

Critics see the beginning of a theological purge.

At the 227th General Assembly, commissioners approved GEN-06, directing the denomination's Church Leadership Connection to add an optional feature to its Ministry Discernment Profile—the official database churches use when searching for pastors.

The new feature allows congregations to indicate their openness to calling an LGBTQIA+ pastor and enables search committees to filter candidates according to several positions, including whether they identify as LGBTQIA+, whether they will perform same-sex marriages, and whether they support the ordination of LGBTQ elders, deacons, and ministers. ...

By Daniel Greenfield: Somali ‘refugees’ across America recently celebrated Somalia’s ‘indepencence’ leading some to wonder why they don’t simply go back to their own country that they claim to love so much.

But not only aren’t the Somalis who came to America as refugees while fleeing a fake ‘genocide’ and using fake family reunification claims in the 90s not leaving (though they frequently make return trips back home to buy property and run for office in their own home country) but more Somalis continue arriving and claiming refugee status from the country they love so much.

In 2024, Somalis were responsible for nearly 5% of refugee claims and while the Trump administration has cracked down on the refugee fraud machine, Europe has seen a flood of Somali ‘refugees’ with 38,000 Somali refugee applications filed between 2023 and 2025.

This is at odds with the regular expressions of pride in Somalia from elected officials like Rep. Ilhan Omar who hail their country as one of the greatest in the world, and also demand that the United States, which they regularly belittle and insult, continue admitting Somali refugee. ...

By Corey Walker: Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. this week defended Israel against accusations of genocide, telling Fox News host Jesse Watters that the Middle East’s “real genocide” has been the decline of Jewish and Christian populations across the region over the past several decades.

“There was a million Jews in the Middle East in the Arab countries” in 1948, Kennedy said. “Today, there’s about 15,000 left.” He added that Christians made up roughly one-fifth of the region’s population in 1948, a share that has since fallen to about five percent, with virtually no Jews now remaining in Jordan or Gaza.

Kennedy contrasted those declines with the growth of Israel’s Arab population, which he said rose from 150,000 in 1948 to nearly two million today, about 20 percent of the country’s population. “If Israel wanted to commit a genocide against Palestinians, they could do it in a minute,” he said. “It’s doing the opposite … If you want to see where a real genocide is happening, it’s not in Israel. It’s happening in all the nations around it.”

He noted that Gaza’s Christian population has fallen by about 80 percent over the past decade. ...

End Of The American Dream
By Michael Snyder: I just had to write about this. Earlier today, as I was going through the news I noticed that Steve Quayle and other prominent voices had featured some really odd things that had happened on Sunday. Personally, I don’t think that it was a coincidence that so many unusual events took place on the exact day that we celebrated the 250th birthday of America. Perhaps you disagree with me, and that is okay. I don’t know anyone that agree with me 100 percent of the time. But I think that most of you will agree that this was certainly not a normal Independence Day.

Since the news cycle was really slow going into the holiday, I didn’t expect that much would happen.

But I was wrong.

The following are 10 very strange things that occurred on the 4th of July this year…

#1 In the middle of the Independence Day celebrations in New York, the skies above the city suddenly turned blood red. ...

The Washington Stand
By Sarah Holliday: Do you want to know what has convicted me lately? Even if we surrendered every single aspect of our lives to Christ, it would still only be the very least we could do for Him.

Hear me out.

Do you surrender every aspect of your life to Christ? If you’re being honest, the answer is no. Because if I’m being honest, or if the believer down the street is being honest, the answer is going to be “no.” I’m not even sure it’s possible in this life to live in complete, unwavering surrender — though we should still long for it.

Every day we’re bombarded by our own flesh. Temptation whispers. Doubt creeps in. We fear the unknown, spiral over tomorrow’s troubles, and let finances, singleness, unfulfilling work, or strained relationships steal our peace. We cling to our plans, our timetables, our dreams. When we pause and examine our hearts — the thoughts we entertain, the steps we take — so much of it is not really surrendered at all. So much of it is still self-directed, not Christ-directed. Life feels vexing not simply because it’s hard, but because it refuses to bend to our will, and we don’t like it. ...

Hope For Our Times
Sunday Night Prophecy Update

Synopsis: As America marks 250 years since the Declaration of Independence, we take a biblical look at the growing division, cultural shifts, and political turmoil unfolding before our eyes. From controversies surrounding the American flag to the increasing polarization across the Western world, this prophecy update examines current events through the teachings of Jesus in Matthew 12 and asks whether we are witnessing the binding of the "strong man" described in Scripture. We also explore America's Christian foundations, the importance of standing for biblical truth, and why believers should remain steadfast as deception continues to spread.

In our continuing study through the Book of Judges, we dive into Judges 14 and the life of Samson, examining how compromise, pride, and selfish desires led him down a destructive path despite God's continued use of his life. Through Samson's wedding, his famous riddle, and the consequences of his choices, we discover powerful lessons about temptation, obedience, God's grace, and living without regret. Even in a world filled with uncertainty, God's Word remains true, His promises never fail, and our hope is found in Jesus Christ alone.
