It Is A Serious Misjudgment For The Modern Church To Disregard What God Has To Say About The Future

By Dan Price: The study of “last things” (eschatology) seems to have fallen out of favor in many corners of the modern church. With a dismissive reference to no one knowing the day or hour of Christ’s return, many Christians assume that studying eschatology is not something most churches, or even individual Christians, really need to take seriously. I repeatedly hear students in my classes claim that Scripture is too unclear on the details or timing of the Rapture, or whether Christians will go through the Tribulation, or the nature of the Millennial Kingdom, to make studying these things worth their time. Is studying eschatology largely irrelevant to our walk with God?

I’ve also had many conversations with pastors and elders who argue that preaching in detail on eschatology is way too divisive for the pulpit. Usually one of the reasons given for avoiding preaching on eschatology is that people hold too tightly to their opinions on the topic and won’t listen or change. Of course, the answer to that concern is to teach us how to disagree and still love one another. But the other prominent reason many churches avoid eschatology is because studying prophecy can make Christians appear a little nuts to unbelievers—it’s too divisive in that it can make us unpalatable to unbelievers who visit our services, and they’ll reject us and the gospel. I mean, I understand not wanting our ministries to be lumped in with the crazy excesses of preachers who’ve abused the doctrine of eschatology, but is that really what makes us unpalatable to unbelievers? We appear crazy to the world first and foremost because of the gospel of Jesus (John 15:18–21). Believing that there are prophecies still to be fulfilled is not really the central divisive issue, and it should in no way motivate choices in relation to our preaching calendars. Is it really true that modern churches can’t grow spiritually or numerically if they take the teaching of eschatology seriously?

Scripture’s answer to these questions is a resounding “no!” The study of eschatology and what God has revealed about future events leading up to Christ’s return (and beyond) was not a tertiary issue to Paul, any of the Old Testament prophets, or Jesus. In fact, I would argue that we need the regular, serious study of eschatology in our lives and churches even more than ever. As the world hurtles toward increasingly uncertain days, Christians can be convinced that God is not silent on our concern about the future or how it impacts our walk with Him today.

Here are the top three reasons I believe we need the study of eschatology more today than ever.

By PNW Staff: For generations, America's nuclear weapons were intended to prevent a world war. The growing danger is that they may now be viewed as the only way to avoid losing one.

The Pentagon is reportedly developing a revised nuclear strategy for a potential conflict with Russia or China. Overseen by Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Elbridge Colby, the review is said to place greater emphasis on shorter-range tactical nuclear weapons and provide the president with more options during a regional crisis.

That does not mean Washington is planning to start a nuclear war. It means military officials are wrestling with a terrifying question: What happens if America becomes trapped in conflicts with Russia and China at the same time?

The answer may be forcing nuclear weapons closer to the battlefield.

America’s Two-Front Nightmare

For most of the Cold War, the United States concentrated its nuclear planning on one principal adversary: the Soviet Union. Today, Washington faces two nuclear powers capable of threatening the American homeland while waging major conventional wars in separate regions.

Israelis In Greece Warned To Lie Low Ahead Of Pro-terror ‘Day Of Rage’ Riots

By Geller Report Staff: Israeli travelers are being violently accosted, harassed, and attacked by pro-Palestinian thugs (here, here, here, here) throughout the world. Forcing Israelis to conceal their identity while travelling abroad. The Palestinian movements attacks against the Jewish state and the Jewish people is a crime against humanity. It represents the greatest threat to the Jewish people since Nazi-Germany. The scant action from the various Western governments to stop these violent attacks is abhorrent.

 One Gaza Palestinian… $547,000,000 Fraud

By Daniel Greenfield: A Muslim illegal alien ripped off Americans and sent the money home including to pro-Hamas groups.

In 1992, Khaled Ahmed Satary arrived in the United States on a student visa. Even though student visas are only supposed to be temporary, the Gaza ‘Palestinian’ Muslim would not leave the country, not even when the government began trying to deport him in 2008 after he spent 3 years in federal prison for running a $50 million counterfeiting ring, not as he amassed another $547 million in health care fraud over the next decade by targeting the elderly and not until he finally went on the run in 2022 and became an international fugitive.

Along the way, Satary donated to Islamic groups and remained “committed to helping the people of his native Palestine” and helped “raise more than $1 million to (sic) charities and organizations that support Palestinians” including a ‘charity’ accused of having links to Hamas.

New York Town Bans Christians From Erecting Displays In Public

Article Excerpt: A New York town is facing legal trouble after elected leaders said it was okay to display Islamic symbols in the public square, but not Christian symbols.

The American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) has filed a federal lawsuit accusing officials in Brighton, New York, of violating the First Amendment after refusing to allow a Christian resident to erect a traditional Nativity scene in the town’s public square—despite permitting other religious displays, including a prominent Ramadan banner celebrating the Muslim holy month.

“We are not in any way trying to get rid of any of the other religious symbols. That’s not what this case is about. There’s room for everybody, right? Not drive anyone out. Not make anyone else feel unwelcome. There’s room for everybody. And that’s the kind of bottom line message that we’re trying to convey here,” ACLJ attorney Nathan Moelker told television station WHEC.

According to the complaint, Brighton officials have ignored repeated requests from a local physician for more than two years to display a life-size Nativity scene in the Twelve Corners public square during the Christmas season. Meanwhile, the town has allowed other private religious displays, including a large Ramadan banner and a Hanukkah menorah.

It’s No Coincidence The World Is On Fire With Wars, Healthcare Has Become Unaffordable Or Of Poor Quality, And Famine Lurks Just Around The Corner

New white paper by group of Western scholars calls for cutting the world’s population by at least half, from 8 billion down to 4 billion or less. The pieces are falling into place for that to happen.

By Leo Hohmann: I have been saying since the Covid psyop was rolled out in 2020 that in order to understand what’s going on in the world you must know that the overriding principle driving the policies of globalist power elites is to drastically depopulate the world, and that Covid was just the first shot fired across the bow toward that eventuality.

Global fertility rates have plummeted to near record lows since the mRNA vaccines were mass injected into people’s bodies starting in late 2020. I don’t believe that’s a coincidence. Healthcare has become totally unaffordable for a growing segment of the population even in wealthy countries like America, and even those who can afford to keep their insurance are receiving AI-driven healthcare that is of inferior quality. But the doctor’s office is not the only means of population reduction. That’s just the beginning.

The elitist goal of mass depopulation was plastered in no uncertain terms on the Georgia Guidestones and the timing and manner in which that monument was destroyed in July 2022 seemed questionable, to say the least. Among the 10 principles for sustainable living posted on that monument near Elberton, Georgia, was reducing the global population down to around 500 million, in order to bring humanity into proper “balance” with nature.

I have always maintained that the 500 million goal was probably too aggressive to achieve but that a more realistic goal was to cut the world population in half, taking it from 8 billion down to around 4 billion.

Low and behold, a new scientific study has just been released calling for exactly that.

The Economic Collapse
By Michael Snyder: This week, we will witness a convergence of celestial events that is truly extraordinary. On August 12th, we will be able to see a parade of 6 planets in the sky, a total solar eclipse and the peak of the Perseid meteor shower all on the same day. I was curious, and so I asked Google if this had ever happened before and I was told that these three events “have never all occurred on the same day in recorded modern astronomical history”. I was also told that the probability of all three events taking place on the same day is “roughly 1 in several hundred million”. Could it be possible that God is using the heavens to try to get our attention? If so, could it be possible that incredibly significant events are about to happen?

I wrote about this extremely unusual convergence of celestial events last month, but now that the day is approaching I just had to write about it again.

In Luke chapter 21, Jesus specifically instructed us to watch for “signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars” in the days just prior to His return.

August 12th will probably be the most spectacular day for heavenly events since the Great American Eclipse of April 8th, 2024.
