AP reports that American Patriot interceptor inventories in Europe have fallen to what one U.S. defense official called “beyond critical,” largely because weapons have been diverted and expended during Trump’s war with Iran. These are precisely the interceptors NATO depends upon to destroy the high-speed Russian ballistic missiles that become increasingly important if Moscow climbs the escalation ladder.
Washington therefore finds itself caught in a nightmare equation: Iran is forcing America to expend its missile defenses, Ukraine is forcing Russia deeper into a corner, Russia is contemplating greater military escalation, and America’s ability to defend Europe against that escalation is simultaneously being depleted. A Sharp Escalation Of Anti-Israel Rhetoric: Turkey Vows ‘Liberation’ Of Jerusalem
By Soeren Kern: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has sharply escalated his rhetoric against Israel (the nationstate of God’s chosen people) to the point where military conflict between the two countries is no longer merely a theoretical possibility. In a recent address to the Turkish Parliament, he said the Jewish state “has become increasingly arrogant” and “a source of threat not only for the region but also for humanity.”
Erdoğan said Israel’s continuing efforts to degrade the terrorist group Hezbollah in Lebanon and other jihadist groups in Syria now pose a threat to Turkey itself. He added that Lebanon and Syria are “within Turkey’s geography of love and brotherhood” and that “we will not tolerate . . . any [Israeli attack] against our brothers.”
The Turkish president then compared Israel to Nazi Germany and declared, “Israel must be stopped; this is the duty of humanity and the humanitarian front. History must not be allowed to repeat itself.”
Referring to Israel, Erdoğan concluded, “We already know your intentions, your aims, your goals very well. We see very well what you are pursuing. We are very well aware of the ultimate goal of the Promised Land delusion. With Allah’s permission, we will never allow this.”

By PNW Staff: More than two years after October 7, Israel is sending a message to the men who participated in the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust: time will not erase what you did, distance will not protect you, and hiding behind sympathetic governments, organizations or civilian populations will not guarantee that Israel will stop looking for you.
That principle is now colliding with international criticism.
The UN Human Rights Office has challenged Israeli military conduct and targeted killings, arguing that international humanitarian and human rights law still constrain how Israel deals with those accused of atrocities. That concern cannot simply be dismissed. There is an important distinction between eliminating an active terrorist who remains part of an armed organization and killing someone solely as punishment for something he did years earlier.
But that distinction raises another question the international community rarely seems willing to answer.
What happens when those responsible for mass murder remain embedded within terrorist organizations, continue facilitating attacks, find sanctuary among sympathetic populations or organizations, and are protected by institutions that Israel has little confidence will ever bring them to justice?
That is the October 7 dilemma.
