A Vital Promise Ignored:
Most Churches Effectively Silence Our Biblical Hope In Jesus’ Appearing
Most Churches Effectively Silence Our Biblical Hope In Jesus’ Appearing
By Jonathan Brentner: An expression dating back to 1512 is: “Throwing out the baby with bath water.” The idea is that if you think part of something is bad, don’t throw it all away.
Is that not what many pastors do today? Because they fear the negative results of mentioning the dreaded word “Rapture” from the pulpit, they refuse to talk about what happens when Jesus appears: our bodily transformation. The essence of our “blessed hope” goes out the window along with any mention of Jesus’ appearing. Most churches effectively silence our biblical hope in Jesus’ appearing.
I have heard several Gospel presentations where the pastor never once said the words “eternal life,” or, if he did, he quickly glossed over it as something secondary to the gospel. Citing John 3:16 in a closing prayer does little to correct this problem, as by then, most people are focused on lunch.
In the New Testament, we find a far different emphasis than what we hear in most churches today, even those that profess to be Bible-believing.
Martha’s Belief In The Resurrection
Even before any New Testament book was written, Jesus’ followers believed in a future resurrection. We see this in Martha’s assertion of faith after her brother Lazarus’ death. When Jesus told her that her brother would “rise again” (John 11:23), she responded: “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection on the last day” (11:24). Even in the midst of her grief, she clung to the hope of her brother’s bodily resurrection.
In the Gospel of John, the phrase “eternal life” appears seventeen times. Martha understood what Jesus’ oft-repeated promise meant for her brother. He would raise him from the dead to everlasting life with a new body.

From Hamas Youth Camps To America’s Backyard: Who Is Radicalizing Our Teens?
By PNW Staff: When Americans hear about terrorist organizations indoctrinating children at summer camps, they usually picture Gaza, Lebanon, or some distant battlefield in the Middle East. They imagine young people being taught to glorify martyrdom, celebrate armed struggle, and view violence as a legitimate path to political victory.
But what happens when American teenagers begin attending camps where Hezbollah flags are displayed, communist insurgencies are studied, and revolutionary warfare is celebrated?
According to a disturbing new investigation by the New York Post, that is precisely the kind of environment young people encountered at a secretive summer camp held in the Pacific Northwest this past August.
The gathering, organized by the Anti-Imperialist Front USA (AIF-USA), reportedly brought together high school students, community college students, and young workers for ideological instruction, physical activities, and revolutionary solidarity.
Photographs showed participants gathered around a campfire alongside flags associated with Hezbollah, Iran, and other movements aligned with the so-called Axis of Resistance. One banner proclaimed, "Victory to the Axis of Resistance!"
This was not a gathering in Tehran or Beirut. It was happening in the United States.
And the deeper question is not simply what these young people were learning over summer vacation. It is who is teaching them, how they are being recruited, and what kind of worldview they are being encouraged to embrace.

Israel’s Battlefield Medicine, Forged After October 7, Now A Model For The U.S. Army
Israel’s Battlefield Medicine, Forged After October 7, Now A Model For The U.S. Army
By Zahava Schwartz: On October 7, 2023, Israel lived through the darkest day in its modern history. Hamas terrorists murdered more than 1,200 people in southern Israel, among them more than 40 Americans, and dragged 251 hostages into Gaza. The war that followed sent tens of thousands of IDF soldiers into the most dense and booby-trapped urban battlefield on earth. Three years later, the US Army has published a 78-page study of what Israel’s military medics learned in that war, with a clear message for American commanders: learn from the Israelis.
The report, Israeli Defense Force Medical Lessons Learned, was produced by the US Army’s 68th Theater Medical Command in Europe and Africa with editorial support from the Center for Army Lessons Learned at Fort Leavenworth, and published on April 30, 2026. Its authors, Col. Benjamin Baker, Lt. Col. Angelina Gerardo, and Dr. Jacob Stoil, drew on IDF presentations at the 2025 Shoresh Military Medical Meeting and a week of inte
Their central finding: the IDF cut the death rate among its wounded nearly in half, from 14.8 percent in the 2006 Second Lebanon War to 7.1 percent in 2024. The drop came even as the wounds grew far worse. The share of casualties with severe injuries nearly tripled, from 8 percent to 23 percent.
The IDF’s case fatality rate, the report found, is lower than what US forces achieved in counterinsurgency operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.
“Israel’s wars continue to provide a critical real-world battle lab,” the authors wrote. Their conclusion was blunt: “The time for preparation is now.”

Federal Government Declares Power Grid Emergency Across 13 States And D.C.
By Leo Hohmann: I have been warning for the last three years that Americans should prepare for widespread power blackouts.
That was before more than 5,000 new data centers were built, sucking up tons of energy from an already aging and overtaxed power grid.
On Monday the federal government issued an order with a stunning admission. It doesn’t have enough electric power to supply everyone’s needs without waiving certain rules and protocols related to pollution standards.
The Department of Energy has issued an emergency power order to reduce the risk of blackouts across the territory managed by PJM Interconnection, which coordinates electricity supplies in much of the Mid-Atlantic and parts of the Midwest.
PJM, which coordinates the provision of electricity for more than 67 million people across 13 states and Washington, D.C., said Monday that it had issued a maximum generation and load management alerts “ahead of expected tight system conditions caused by unusually warm fall weather.”
Besides the weather, it also cited quipment outages for maintenance and construction as hampering the supply of adequate electric power.
