‘Kowtowing To Sharia Law’: Gavin Newsom Signs Law Codifying Muslim Observances Over Christian, Jewish Holidays
By Lee Weeks: California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom has signed a law recognizing two Islamic rituals as state holidays for Muslim workers. The law also allows public schools the option to close in observance of the religious customs.
Critics of the legislation point out that Muslims make up about 1% of the state’s population while Christians make up 55% and Jews represent about 3%, yet the other religious groups’ holidays are not sanctioned by California.
For example, the state doesn’t recognize Good Friday in honor of Jesus’ sacrificial death on the cross or His resurrection from the grave which is also celebrated by Christians each year at Easter.
Newsom did sign a separate bill acknowledging the Jewish holidays of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur in state law, however, the statute only requires public schools and universities to make reasonable attempts to avoid scheduling public meetings or major events on those Jewish holy days. The law makes no allowance for public school closures.
“The state of California doesn’t honor any other religion,” Rabbi Michael Barclay told CBN News. “But suddenly they’re kowtowing and catering to what is effectively Sharia law.”

A recent illustration comes in the race for U.S. Senate in Michigan, where strict Muslim candidate Abdul El-Sayed (D) has refused to condemn the Islamist regime in Tehran. At a recent townhall, a University of Michigan student from Iran, Iman Dashti, confronted El-Sayed about this decision. "My cousin was hunted in the streets of Iran by the IRGC because her hijab wasn't on right. My uncle was sentenced to die, received 50 lashings by Ali Khamenei's government ... I wanted to ask if you stand unequivocally against the IRGC, against the Islamic Republic of Iran that has killed 50,000 protesters."
Dashti's courage to speak out against the evils of Islam is rare. If he were not Iranian, he might have thought twice about saying anything, because he might have been accused of racism (even so, Dashti has encountered significant personal consequences for speaking out).

By Leo Hohmann: We have now entered the final three months of 2026 and the world is in the process of being destabilized by a madman who sees himself as a conquering king.
Gunboat diplomacy 5.0 is in the works and this time it’s a small island off the coast of Florida that sits in Donald Trump’s sights.
He kicked off his insatiable quest for conquering countries with his lightning strike against Venezuela in January. U.S. troops killed approximately 80 Venezuelan security officers and kidnapped the country’s president, Nicolás Maduro, along with his wife, whisking them off to an American prison to stand trial, although we’ve heard little to nothing about Maduro or his wife for months.
More than eight months ago, Trump started threatening Greenland with an invasion. On September 22, 2026, on the sidelines of last week’s U.N. conference in New York, Trump announced that this vast parcel of mostly frozen but strategic real estate will be part of a “historic Arctic security agreement” with Denmark that allows for an expanded U.S. military presence in Greenland.
And don’t forget “Operation Midnight Hammer” in June of 2025, in which Trump used military forces to, in his words, “obliterate” Iran’s nuclear program.
Then came the next phase of the U.S./Israel-Iran war, which hasn’t gone to plan but remains an open question as to who will be seen as the winner.
All of these military adventures have come at a steep cost. Trump has proposed a 50 percent increase in military spending, a staggering $1.5 trillion.
But he’s not done. This man will keep going until somebody stops him.
