The Pentagon is preparing for an America whose civilian infrastructure fails while its military keeps fighting for months. Now place that beside Trump’s descriptions of a military complex beneath his White House ballroom and a proposed triumphal arch equipped for drones and snipers. FORTRESS calls for independent power, strategic reserves and stronger supply chains, with Fox News reporting a requirement for major installations to sustain essential operations independently for at least 90 days. Taken together, these announcements raise a shocking question Washington needs to answer. What are the threats now driving this emphasis on hardened facilities, protected leadership and military endurance on American soil? Sounds to me like a real-life ‘Leave The World Behind’ is in the making.
Trump himself has attached military purposes to two of his most visible construction projects. During a May construction-site tour, he described his ballroom project as incorporating a six-story underground military complex, a military hospital and rooftop drone facilities. In September, he said his proposed triumphal arch would accommodate drones, snipers and ammunition at the military’s request. Yet the latest public arch plans do not specify those military functions, even as Interior says the design will accommodate them. That discrepancy belongs at the center of the investigation. Americans deserve to know what is actually being proposed, which agencies requested it, and how those decisions are being reviewed. Follow the money, and Palantir enters the ballroom story almost immediately. The company appears on the donor list that Scripps obtained from a White House official.
Meanwhile, according to DefenseScoop’s review of an August memorandum titled “Funding Palantir,” Pentagon leadership directed officials to provide up to $243.9 million for its services through March 2027, crediting its work on defense-production and maintenance bottlenecks. A company receiving substantial military business is also helping finance a presidential construction project promoted as serving national security. Congress should examine those relationships openly, including the safeguards governing donations, access and procurement. Military preparedness, artificial intelligence, nuclear development and private commercial interests are becoming increasingly intertwined as the America people who are funding all these things remain kept in the dark. You can’t say we weren’t warned, that’s for sure.

By Tom Gilbreath: With Paris burning, I’ve been thinking a lot about something I read ten years ago while doing research for The Hal Lindsey Report. I came across some things written by Dr. Peter Hammond, a South African missionary. He had made a study of ways Islam gains control of nations. Hal had also made an extensive study of Islam, especially when writing his book, The Everlasting Hatred: The Roots of Jihad. Dr. Hammond’s straightforward warnings intrigued Hal.
In that 2016 episode of Hal’s program, he quoted from Dr. Hammond’s book, Slavery, Terrorism and Islam. “The ultimate goal of Islam is not to convert the world but to establish Sharia law over the entire world.” Hal saw that as the key point. He commented, “It’s imperative that we understand … Islam is not intent on converting us so much as it is intent on ruling us.”
Dr. Hammond also said, “The ultimate purpose of Islam is the establishment by force of a worldwide Islamic state where Sharia law is enforced on all.” Obviously, that doesn’t represent every one of the two billion Muslims on earth, but it does agree with the doctrine and actions of many Muslims. The influential Islamic scholar and imam, Abul A’la Maududi, said, “Islam wishes to destroy all states and governments anywhere on the face of the earth which are opposed to the ideology and program of Islam regardless of the country or the nation which rules it. The purpose of Islam is to set up a state on the basis of its own ideology and program.”
Dr. Hammond made this crucial point: “The primary aim of Islam is not spiritual but political.” He laid out his theory about how Muslim populations behave as their percentage of a country’s population increases. His population-percentage claims have been widely challenged, but in light of what’s happening in Europe, we should give them careful consideration.
