Donald Trump’s Board of Peace began as a proposal for Gaza, but its founding charter reaches far beyond that devastated strip of land—and never mentions Gaza in its substantive text. Trump is personally named chairman, his authority can survive his departure from the White House, and the charter provides for his designated successor to inherit the office and its powers. The succession question could become more consequential than the presidency that launched the project. Trump has already entertained the possibility that this organization might replace the United Nations. Today is October 7th, 2026, and the third anniversary of the attack by Hamas on Israel. But as the smoke clears and the fog of war dissipates, we begin to see a very diferent picture taking shape in the land of prophecy.

War In The Headlines: Is The Israel-Iran Conflict Connected To Bible Prophecy?
By David Bowen: Is President Trump going to bomb Iran? Will Israel attack Iran? Will Iran attack American Middle East assets or Israel? These questions have been dominating the headlines for months.
As important as those questions are, there are some points from a Biblical perspective that also deserve our attention.
1. Iran does not have to be forced into Bible prophecy. Ancient Persia is already there.
2. We should never manipulate Scripture to fit the headlines. We should allow the headlines to remind us to return to Scripture.
3. A war involving Iran and Israel does not necessarily remain a war between Iran and Israel.
4. Prophecy students should be watching the architecture of international relationships, not merely individual battles.
5. Our purpose, as believers, is not to frighten people. It is to prepare people.
Ancient Persia, Modern Iran,
And A War The Prophet Ezekiel Saw Coming
Missiles fly across the Middle East. Israel strikes Iranian targets. Iran threatens retaliation. Nuclear facilities, ballistic missiles, proxy armies, the Strait of Hormuz, and the future security of Israel have been dominating international headlines.
For students of Bible prophecy, the question is unavoidable: is the Israel-Iran conflict connected to Bible prophecy? The answer requires both conviction and caution. We should not make the mistake of turning every missile launch into a fulfillment of prophecy. Yet neither should we ignore the extraordinary fact that approximately 2,500 years ago, the prophet Ezekiel specifically identified Persia as part of a future military coalition that would come against Israel. Persia is modern-day Iran. That alone should cause every serious student of prophecy to pay attention.
As important as those questions are, there are some points from a Biblical perspective that also deserve our attention.

Twenty-eight-year-old Darya Shipilova, an employee of the Irkutsk Anti-Plague Research Institute in Siberia, became seriously ill and died October 2 from what Russian authorities describe as pneumonia of unknown origin. Reports circulated that she may have been exposed to pneumonic plague in a laboratory accident, although Russian officials deny that account and say testing found no pathogen connected to her work.
Nearly 200 contacts were initially placed under medical observation or isolation. Most have since been released, Russia says no plague has been detected, and the World Health Organization currently considers the broader public-health risk very low.
Perhaps that will ultimately be the end of the story.
But the incident has opened the door to a much larger question that received far less attention during the COVID pandemic and deserves considerably more today:

For 156 weeks in a row, he told me, he has delivered Challahs and other Shabbat food to IDF soldiers every Friday afternoon. I gave him a donation for his project, and then I stopped for a moment.
156 weeks. Three years since October 7, 2023.
In the Bible, three years is a significant span of time.
In one of the most frightening moments in biblical history, the Book of Kings describes the mighty Assyrian Empire sweeping through the Land of Israel. The ten northern tribes have already been exiled, Sennacherib has captured the fortified cities of Judah, and now his army stands menacingly at the gates of Jerusalem. His officer shouts up at the men on the wall in Hebrew, so that every one of them will understand: No god has saved any city from our army, and your God will not save you either!
The righteous King Hezekiah tears his clothes, goes into the Temple and sends for the prophet Isaiah. Isaiah answers with more than a reassuring message, he offers a specific timeline:
“This shall be the sign for you: This year you will eat what grows on its own, and in the second year what springs from that. But in the third year, sow and reap, plant vineyards and eat their fruit.” (II Kings 19:29)
In ancient and modern Jewish history, three years is the distance between the depths of despair and miraculous deliverance. Just three years after the horrors of the Holocaust, the Jewish people were dancing in the streets of a reborn State of Israel.
