Preterists claims that "this generation" refers to the generation that was alive at the time of Christ's earthly ministry. They also claim that the tribulation and second coming prophecies in Matthew 24 were fulfilled allegorically at the time of the fall of Jerusalem in AD 70.
Dispensationalists, that is, those that take prophecy literally, believe that "this generation" refers to the generation that will be alive when the tribulation at the end of the age starts. They also believe that these prophecies shall be fulfilled literally.

‘Depraved Antisemitic Terrorism’: Two Israeli Diplomats Shot and Killed By Pro-Palestinian Man In Washington, DC
By Harbinger’s Press:Two Israeli embassy staffers were shot and killed in an anti-Semitic shooting attack in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday evening around 9 PM. According to a spokesperson for the embassy, the diplomats were shot “at close range” while attending an event at the Capital Jewish Museum.
Israel’s Minister of Diaspora and Combating Antisemitism, Amichai Chikli, confirmed in a post on X that one of the victims of the attack was Yaron Lischinsky (28), who worked in the political department of the Israeli Embassy. The second victim was confirmed to be a young woman named Sarah Milgrim.
“Yaron and Sarah were our friends and colleagues,” the Embassy said in a statement. “They were in the prime of their lives. This evening, a terrorist shot and killed them as they exited an event at the Capital Jewish Museum in DC. The entire embassy staff is heartbroken and devastated by their murder. No words can express the depth of our grief and horror at this devastating loss. Our hearts are with their families, and the embassy will be by their side during this terrible time.”
The gunman, Elias Rodriguez (30), was arrested by police and can be seen in footage chanting “Free, Free Palestine!” as he was taken into custody.

No? Because in any reasonable society, that should be unthinkable. And yet, on May 3, reportedly, a group of Drexel and Temple students gathered at Barstool in Center City ordered a sign that read: “F*** the Jews.” The waitress, instead of being horrified, proudly danced as she presented the sign, while the students laughed and posted it to Instagram.
In what world is this normal?
I remain in shock. Would it be tolerated if the sign had read “F*** the Blacks?” “F*** the Gays?” “F*** the Latinos?” Of course not. But when it is aimed at Jews, suddenly, it is acceptable.
The owner of Barstool, David Portnoy, is Jewish, and he immediately condemned the incident. He spoke with the Temple student behind it, who reportedly apologized and agreed to visit Auschwitz to better understand the dangers of antisemitism. I hoped the trip would shake him to his core, as it did me.
The Federal Government Should Not Be Running Local Areas
By Daniel Greenfield:Assistant Attorney General Harmeet K. Dhillon of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division announced that BLM ‘consent decrees’ forced on Louisville and Minneapolis are being scrapped.
That’s a good thing.
All the ‘consent decrees’ should be scrapped. Period.
Consent decrees have been a tool used by the DOJ to seize power over local areas. They’re a form of unconstitutional intimidation subjuecting localities to extended and sometimes permanent federal government oversight sometimes based on one-time events, events long in the past or individual incidents for which the pattern was invented out of whole cloth using critical race theory concepts like ‘systemic racism’.
The federal government should not be displacing local governments. And if there are to be any consent decrees, they should be directed at departments and areas that illegally thwarted and conspired to block federal law enforcement through ‘sanctuary’ programs for illegal aliens.

2. Kingdoms
Nations are pseudo-modern efforts to create modern nation states. Many were at one point more secular, often adopting some form of socialism, and used European knowledge to build up functional armies. They tend to have some form of elections and emphasize nationalism even though they’ve usually reverted to Islamism. Examples include Turkey, Egypt and Pakistan.
Kingdoms never pretended to be modern. They’re dominated by a monarchy built around a clan or a handful of clans. They’re unable to form much in the way of civilized infrastructures and their armies are expensive white elephants run by the decadent members of the clan. They tend to be strongly Islamic, at least in public (in private they’re as decadent as can be) and derive their power from some sort of bargain with Jihadis and their vast oil wealth. Examples include Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar.
Islamic nations are bad news, Islamic kingdoms are much worse ones. The kingdoms have vast amounts of wealth and no strong means of self-defense. They can’t built up an independent functional military out of fear that, like Egypt’s last king, they’ll be overthrown, so the United States becomes their military.

In some cases, the goal is to make those diseases even more deadly and even easier to spread. If a terrorist organization or one of our enemies really wanted to create complete and utter chaos in our society, releasing a weaponized disease in a heavily populated area would be one of the easiest ways to do that. A bomb could kill hundreds or even thousands of people, but a highly infectious pestilence could spread like wildfire all over the country and potentially kill millions of Americans. If you believe that the Iranians, the North Koreans, the Russians, the Chinese and radical Islamic terror groups all over the globe would never do such a thing because they are such decent people, you have a much higher view of humanity than I do.
Of course it wouldn’t necessarily take a large organization to pull off such an attack. These days, just a handful of people could cook something up and release it into our society if they knew what they were doing.
We have seen extraordinary advancements in the field of biotechnology over the past several decades. Experiments that once took enormous resources to pull off can now be conducted by a group of college kids working in a basement.
We are far more vulnerable than most people realize, and it is just a matter of time before the next killer pandemic erupts.

Synopsis:Dean Jones starring in 1986 Drama Bible Story: St. John in Exile - One of Jesus disciples, John has been punished in exile to the island of Patmos. He is all alone and has time to reflect and tell us about his life, faith and troubles.
Review:This is an outstanding production. For those who only know Dean Jones from the Disney pictures (The Love Bug, Shaggy D.A., That Darn Cat, etc.) and such, here is a role for the actor that provides an opportunity for him to reveal both his tremendous dramatic talent and his deep Christian faith. Although some may say it is a little slow moving (perhaps because it is a recording of a stage performance at Jack Hayford's Church on the Way), the story is excellently written and has real depth. The production makes good use of various camera angles as well as creative lighting to add drama to the presentation. You find yourself quickly drawn into the story as Jones powerfully brings St. John to life, recounting, from his cell on the isle of Patmos, his journey with Jesus and the other disciples. A real tour de force performance by Jones (in the tradition of such one-man shows as Hal Holbrook's Mark Twain or James Whitmore's Harry Truman) makes this a DVD worth watching by anyone who appreciates a magnificent performance from an incredible actor and one that should definitely be in every Christian's collection.
