interview that included Obama passing the buck for his botched reaction to the growing ISIS terrorist threat, it was another remark that caught the attention of retired Army Lt. Col. Allen West.
The former Republican congressman explained on his
blog Thursday that Obama cavalierly asserted the nation is better off than it was prior to his 2008 election. In response, West pointed out several empirical facts he feels disprove that contention.
“We are at an all-time low for the workforce participation rate,” he wrote. “Poverty has increased and food stamp recipients are up from 31 million to 47 million. Home ownership is down and gas prices are still high compared to the $1.89 when he came into office.”
West also criticized the increased role of the Federal Reserve during Obama’s tenure, noting the nation’s debt has jumped by nearly $7 trillion since his inauguration. To combat this runaway spending, he wrote, the Fed continues to print more money and, in turn, usher in inflation.
As Obama prepared for a
speech at Northwestern University being billed as a discussion of the U.S. economy, West contrasted what the president likely would say with what the American people deserve to hear.
“The discussion has to be about tax, regulatory, government, and monetary reforms that reignite a free market economic explosion,” he wrote “—instead we have a government spending-driven economy. Instead of Obama attacking private sector businesses with increased taxation and regulations, forcing more to escape his economic tyranny, he should advance reforms that enable the captains of industry to produce and manufacture more right here.”
West lambasted Obama’s energy policy, which he said includes preventing private entities from exploring new resources. Furthermore, he cited healthcare failures, the spread of disease throughout the U.S., the border crisis, and the rise in terrorist threats around the world.
“No B. Hussein,” West concluded, “we’re not better off than we were six years ago – and sadly we still have two more years of you. Go ahead and make your speech at Northwestern University, because everyone other than your kool-aid drinking progressive socialist acolytes ain’t listening to your lies anymore.”

Israelis and Jews around the world are observing Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement), the holiest day on the Jewish calendar, which began at sundown Friday.
Israel completely shuts down on Yom Kippur. Traffic comes to a halt, radio and TV broadcasts go off the air, the airport and businesses are closed.
Many Israelis spend the holiday in synagogues, while others simply rest or go for walks and bicycle rides on the empty roads.
As usual, security is tight. Judea, Samaria and the Gaza Strip have been sealed off amid fears that Palestinian terrorists will exploit the holiday to attack Jewish worshippers gathered at public venues in greater than usual numbers.

Shortly after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the White House to get its facts straight about construction plans in East Jerusalem, Washington came back with a response of its own.
The White House and State Department sharply criticized Israel
on Wednesday after it was announced that 2,610 new homes would be built in East Jerusalem.
The new homes, which are to be inhabited by Jewish and Arab residents in the Givat Hamatos neighborhood, would “draw condemnation from the international community, distance Israel from even its closest allies and poison the atmosphere.”
In response, Netanyahu told reporters, “It’s worth learning the information properly before deciding to take a position like that.” The prime minister issued the response mere hours after
meeting with US President Barack Obama at the White House.
Netanyahu told Andrea Mitchell from NBC News the same evening, “I think the important thing is to just get the facts right. I mean start with the facts.”
Speaking to
Univision, Netanyahu explained, “If you said to me that in some city in the United States or Mexico, or anywhere else, Jews cannot but apartments, there would be an uproar.”

For the last few weeks, every time I've warned readers about the coming forced quarantines, isolation orders and government-mandated medical procedures that would be directed at American citizens, I was told that such claims were completely false and would never happen in America.
I guess Dallas isn't part of America, then, because all this is happening right now in Dallas, Texas.
"The state of Texas and Dallas County health officials have ordered four close family members of a Dallas Ebola patient to stay home and not have visitors to prevent spreading the deadly disease," the Dallas affiliate of CBS News reported today. [1] "If ignored, a violation could result in criminal charges."
Not only is this one family being ordered into a 21-day self-quarantine, they are also being ordered to provide blood samples to Texas state authorities. "The family members must also be available to provide blood samples, agree to any testing by public health officials, and immediately report any symptoms to Dallas County Health and Human Services," says CBS News.
In other words, what's happening right now in Dallas, Texas -- which I assume is still part of America -- is precisely what I warned about: forced isolations, medical quarantines and forced medical interventions (blood draws).

With B. Hussein Obama, everything is about politics and the fundamental transformation of America. And so Obama felt the sincere need to reassure the radical Hispanic lobby at a gala event on illegal immigration that its members wouldn’t be disappointed.
