Party Chief Says Americans More Willing Now
To Accept Socialism

Jack Minor, WND — With Democrats facing a real possibility of losing the Senate this November, the Communist Party USA has announced the cavalry is planning to ride to their rescue by helping unite the left and stave off “right-wing extremism.”

The plans were announced during a web streaming event held by party Chairman Sam Webb Wednesday titled “Taking care of the future: from here to socialism.”

The event was part of the party’s national convention process which will culminate later this year in Chicago, where the party was formed in 1919.

Webb told listeners that there is no direct path to socialism and that to arrive at their destination they would have to pass through different stages. He stated one of those steps was to work with other left-wing groups to press for issues important to the left.

“We can talk about shortening the work week, green jobs, restructuring the economy, we can talk about the de-militarization of the economy and putting those people back to work in jobs that are productive,” Webb said. “The starting point has to be this immediate engagement, but once we do that many things become possible such as more radical demands.”

Webb acknowledged that one of the problems the movement faces is the stigma of the name Communist among some Americans, but he believes under the policies of the Obama administration the country is now more willing to embrace those beliefs.

“The good news is the same hang-ups or stereotypes that people had 30 to 40 years ago are not so evident today,” he said. “Growing numbers of people are ready to have a conversation about socialism. There have been public opinion polls that indicate that substantial numbers have more confidence in socialism than capitalism.”

“We have to let people know what our vision is. The climate in the country is different. We can have a different conversation than we could have 30 to 40 years ago, even 20 years ago. Socialism is no longer a white-hot word, people are willing to talk about it.”

WND reported last month how retired Maj. Gen. Paul Vallely, president of Stand Up America, announced a plan to unite the tea party groups in order to return the country to its constitutional roots.

Webb said Communists are planning a similar effort to unite left-wing groups to protect Democrats and President Obama from the possibility of losing the Senate to tea party candidates.

“Even if it’s only turning back right-wing extremism which plays such a large role in policies today… I don’t see how it’s going to happen without a much stronger left and an important part of that left is a bigger stronger Communist Party. That’s a necessary component.

“There’s a broad left in this country and a good section of it isn’t connected to other organizations. We have to be connected and have a dialogue with this broad left and find common ground where we can join in on joint struggles,” he said.

Webb said it was vital for left-wing individuals to be part of a “bigger and better Communist Party and a bigger and better left in general,” noting that the CPUSA had a major part in helping FDR with his New Deal policies.

“The New Deal came about for a lot of reasons, but I would argue that one of the main reasons was that in that same period we saw the growth of the Communist Party and the left in general,” Webb explained. “The Communist Party and the left in general contributed mightily to the process of first building of a transformative movement and then helping secure these changes, this New Deal.”

He said progressives need to have a bigger left in order to prevent the tea party movement from advancing its agenda.

Setting out the party’s goals, he said the CPUSA could not bring about socialism on its own but needed the help of other left-wing groups it was helping to unify.

“If it just took the left and Communists alone we would have done it long ago. It takes more than that. It takes a bigger Communist Party and left that is deeply embedded in the day to day struggle for people.”

The U.S. military, which has seen generals and other high-level officers relieved of duty at an unprecedented rate during the Obama administration, is in trouble largely because of the radical social experimentation being forced upon it, according to the Center for Military Readiness.

CMR’s president, Elaine Donnelly, said in an interview with WND that under Obama, budgets for the military have been slashed, SEAL Team Six members exposed as the ones who killed Osama bin Laden, open homosexuality introduced and service members pressed into service to hold an umbrella over the president during the rain.

Donnelly says Obama has done “great damage” to the military by taking away resources and imposing “heavy burdens of social experimentation.”

As WND reported, the U.S. military has been gutted with massive budget cuts due to the congressionally mandated sequestration to trim $1 trillion in government spending over 10 years, fully half of which would come from the defense budget.

Webb said despite these cuts the American government is still spending too much on the military and called for further military budget cuts and that the party has no qualms about working with those in other countries to fight against U.S. “imperialism.”

“We spend too much on military weapons and hardware, especially the United States. By building a transformative movement we can begin to change that,” Webb said. “We find many ways to express solidarity with people around the world who are fighting imperialism, either U.S. imperialism or any other imperialism.” » Full Article

Racism At The Core To Usher In
An Era Of Deep Progressive, Radical Change

“Sounds silly doesn’t it, you racists!”

Matthew Burke, TPNN News Editor — There’s becoming very little, if any, difference between today’s Democrat Party and the Communist Party USA. Case in point: Communist Party USA Chairman Sam Webb is urging his members to use the race card in the fight for Obamacare, a law both he and his comrades fully support as a “step in the right direction.”

In the Party’s commie rag, People’s World, sounding, word-for-word like any democrat, including the POTUS, Webb describes health care as “a social right.” Comrade Obama Reid Pelosi Webb then goes on to say that opposition to the New Deal was also rooted in racism, as he infers opposition to Obamacare is as well (emphasis added):

With all its shortcomings, Obamacare is a step in the right direction; it extends health care – a social right – to millions who up to now have none, and partially curbs the power of the health care industry, while its defeat would set back the struggle for health care for all much longer than I would care to think. That’s why the far right is fighting it so hard!

Thus, energizing, uniting, and raising the understanding of ever more people to oppose right-wing extremism in every arena of struggle – not least of which is defense of the Affordable Health Care Act – is the order of the day.

Of critical importance in this regard is the fight against racism in its material and ideological forms. Racism was the main vehicle used to bust up the New Deal coalition and fuel the ascendancy of the right wing over the past three or more decades. By the same token, the struggle against it is at the core of building a movement with the ideological, political, and organizational capacity and unity to dislodge the right and usher in an era of deep going progressive, even radical, change.

So, apparently if you’re against having politicians and bureaucrats control your health care decisions, if you’re for the time (decades ago) when we actually had free market healthcare, when it was affordable and accessible, you’re a racist.

If you opposed the New Deal, which brought America’s financial system unfunded liabilities, in which there isn’t enough money in the world to payoff, you’re a racist.

If you think that given $600 million and three years, any dummy in the private sector could build a website that works, you’re a racist too.

If you’re against doctor shortages, rationing and death panels, you too are a racist.

And, if you’ve read Article I, Section 8, of the U.S. Constitution, and can’t find providing health care as an authorized power of the federal government, you truly are a blatant racist.

Webb is late to the game in recommending that the now heavily worn and dog-eared race card be used to silence opposition to Obama’s Communist Party USA-approved policies like Obamacare. Just last month, Oprah Winfrey, who mysteriously became filthy rich in exactly the opposite type of government she promotes, said that opposition to Obama was largely based on racism.

The Left is big on using non-related issues to silence opposition, since their incompetent, big government policies are overwhelmingly prone to failure. Who in their right mind would say, “All of our current entitlements are financially insolvent. I’ve got a great idea! Let’s start a new one!”? Sounds silly doesn’t it, you racists! » Full Article

How The Communists Have Taken Over The Democratic Party

Breitbart News, Breitbart — On Tuesday, former Marxist-turned-conservative icon David Horowitz spoke at the Heritage Foundation to mark the launch of what will be a ten-volume compendium of his writings on leftism, The Black Book of the American Left. In his wide-ranging speech, Horowitz described his transition from left to right, and discussed the shortcomings of a conservative movement unwilling to deal with the ugly realities of what the American left represents.

Horowitz began by distinguishing the David Horowitz Freedom Center from other think tanks, instead characterizing it as a “battle tank.” He labeled himself “monomaniacal” in his focus on the left and its relation to communism. “There are hedgehogs and foxes. The foxes know many things. And the hedgehogs know one thing. I am a hedgehog,” he joked.

“My parents called themselves progressives,” Horowitz explained with regard to his communist parents. “The agenda was a Soviet America...the slogan of the communist party in those days was peace, jobs, democracy. Sound familiar?”

That was the theme of Horowitz’s speech as he continued: how the communists had taken over the Democratic Party. “The communist party is the Democratic Party,” Horowitz stated. “In The Great Gatsby, [F. Scott] Fitzgerald describes the rich as people who break things and leave them for others to clean up. That is a wonderful description of the left.” Horowitz, who began as a radical Marxist, said that the modern left had learned stealth from their failures in the 1960s: “The left have learned from the 1960s...we in the 1960s didn't want to pretend to be Jeffersonian democrats...That's why we failed in the 1960s. That's why they've succeeded now.”

But the right, Horowitz pointed out, has failed to acknowledge that reality. On Obamacare, for example, Horowitz railed against the language used by the left: “single-payer.” Instead, he said, “it is communism,” pointing out that it was state ownership of the means of production. He added, “The left hate the Constitution because Madison designed it to thwart them.”

Horowitz then analyzed what he claimed were the four features of the leftist mentality. First, he said, the left and right are on opposite sides of the “fundamental divide of the modern age”: the left believes that human beings are inherently good and infinitely malleable, and so can be shaped by proper state guidance. Conservatives, by contrast, believe that human beings are responsible for social problems, and concentrating power in the hands of humans is dangerous.

Second, Horowitz said, the left are characterized by the belief that “history is a forward march.” Obama, Horowitz claimed, is a deep believer in this concept, all the way down to his carpet in the Oval Office, which assures those who enter that the moral arc of the universe bends toward justice. “Leftism is a crypto-religion,” he explained. “They see themselves as a savior. People who believe that redemption will take place in this life and I will be a part of it, that's Hitler. That's Mao...That's the American left.”

Third, Horowitz said that the left was characterized by “alienation from this country... What weakens America is actually good.” Horowitz cited the Obama administration’s eager withdrawal from Iraq as evidence of that proposition: “Obama betrayed every American who gave their life for the people of Iraq.” He also slammed the Obama administration with regard to Benghazi: “Benghazi is the most shameful act in the history of the American presidency.”

Finally, said Horowitz, the American left “lie. And it's not like politicians spinning...you cannot be a leftist without lying about the most basic strategic facts about who you are.”

Horowitz summed up pessimistically: “We are within reach of a totalitarian state in this country…These are very very dark days for this country.” But, Horowitz held out hope: “there's been an earthquake on the conservative side since I switched sides...the tea party is the earthquake. The best thing that Republicans can do is stop the fratricide.” » Full Article
