Host: Jim Schneider
The Crosstalk Radio Talk Show is heard each weekday on over 90 radio outlets across America and worldwide on the Internet. Crosstalk covers the issues that affect our world, our nation, our families and the Christian church from a perspective centered in the Word of God. Whether we discuss the economy, the political scene, the continuing moral collapse of our nation, legislation that affects the family, or the state of evangelicalism, our authority is found in the unchanging standard of the Holy Scriptures. Veteran co-hosts Dr. Vic Eliason and Jim Schneider have worked as a team for over 20 years to bring solid information to the body of Christ.

Guest: » Mat Staver, Liberty Counsel
Air Date: January 21, 2013

Show Description:
Mat Staver is founder and president of Liberty Counsel, an international nonprofit litigation, education, and policy organization dedicated to advancing religious freedom, the sanctity of life and the family since 1989, by providing pro bono assistance and representation on these and related topics. With offices in Florida, Virginia and Washington, D.C., Liberty Counsel has hundreds of advocates around the world.

In his inaugural address, President Obama made an interesting remark. He said: “Our journey is not complete until our gay brothers and sisters are treated like anyone else under the law. For if we are truly great and equal then surely the love we commit to one another must be equal as well.”

Mat commented that the last thought above regarding the love that’s committed to one another and that it must be equal would actually sanction polygamy and polyamory. After all, just because you have love toward someone or something else, does that mean you get all the rights of marriage? No, and Mat noted this is the kind of thinking that comes out of President Obama’s radicalism.

This Crosstalk brings out other disturbing points as well. For example: Jim noted the inaugural parade featuring the participation of the gay and lesbian band association and the Rolling Stone magazine report that Lady Gaga will be performing at a ball for White House staffers tonight.

Then there’s President Obama’s side profile picture for Newsweek magazine’s cover story that describes him as “The Second Coming.” Then in a poster being sold by street vendors today you can see the image of President Obama in prayer with the headline, “Prophecy fulfilled.”

What else can we expect from President Obama during his second term of office? Mat warns listeners of a more radical Obama than the one we’ve seen so far. He discusses Harry Reid’s attempt to abolish the filibuster, what’s in store as the rollout of Obamacare continues, President Obama’s new picks for secretary of defense and director of the CIA and more.
