GOHMERT FIRES BACK AT RINO MCCAIN: HIS ‘INTELLIGENCE CAUSED HIM TO SUPPORT THE MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD THAT BURNED CHURCHES AND KILLED CHRISTIANS’

Senator McCain Stood Against The Will
Of The Massive Majority Of Egyptians

Greg Campbell, TPNN Political Analyst — Congressman Louie Gohmert is not known for gingerly dancing around an issue; the Texas Republican seldom pulls punches and has become known for straight talk in this time of extraordinary governmental dysfunction.

Though Congressman Gohmert often embodies the traditional GOP viewpoint of adhering to limited government, the exact opposite is true for moderate Republican Senator John McCain who frequently sides with Democrats in their crusade to augment the size and scope of government.

Recently, the two lawmakers have had strong words for each other as Sen. McCain has continually undermined GOP efforts to get the government back on track by standing strong against the Democrats’ bully tactics. McCain, in an NBC interview on Wednesday, called the Republican efforts to defund Obamacare a “fool’s errand,” and lambasted Republicans for “inflicting pain” on the American people.
“We inflicted pain on the American people that was totally unnecessary. We cannot do this again,” McCain said. “We, Republicans, have a hole that we’ve got to come out of and obviously we’re going to have to do a lot of work.”
The interview also took on a heated tone as McCain discussed the tensions within the GOP and the recent dust-up with Rep. Gohmert.

Last week, speaking at the Value Voters Summit in Washington, Gohmert called out McCain for his continued support of despots and tyrants and noted that the Senator was in support of aiding the Syrian rebels who maintain strong ties to terrorist groups such as Al Qaeda.
“Over in the Middle East, we talk to allies and they wonder which one of us are going to be the next ones that you throw under the bus,” Gohmert said.

“When it comes to the shutdown that’s going on, I heard just before I came on, some senator from Arizona — a guy that liked [former Libyan dictator Moammar] Gadhafi before he wanted to bomb him, a guy that liked [former Egyptian strongman Hosni] Mubarak before he wanted him out, a guy that’s been to Syria and supported al Qaeda and the rebels — but he was saying today the shutdown has been a fool’s errand, and I agree with him. The president and [Sen.] Harry Reid [D-Nev.] should not have shut this government down.”
To this, McCain heatedly responded in Wednesday’s interview, “Sometimes those are, comments like that are made out of malice, but if someone has no intelligence, I don’t view it as being a malicious statement. You can’t respond to that kind of thing.”

Senator McCain has repeatedly claimed that he supports aiding the Syrian rebels who he insists are “moderates.” However, intelligence indicates otherwise as the Al Nusra front and al Qaeda maintain strong ties to many of the rebel factions.

Gohmert responded to McCain’s back-handed “non-response” by saying,

“Obviously, Senator McCain would be better off with ‘no intelligence’ since he does not know the Syrian opposition he met with is infested with al Qaeda and terrorist kidnappers. His ‘intelligence’ even caused him to support the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt that burned churches and killed Christians, as the senator stood against the will of the massive majority of Egyptians including moderate Muslims, Christians, and secularists who demanded the Muslim Brotherhood extremist persecutions must end.”

The back-and-forth between McCain and Gohmert is illustrative of the deep divide that runs throughout the GOP. The moderate factions of the GOP have steered the Party into the ditch by continually failing to forcefully advocate for needed changes in America and abroad. When confronted with Democratic opposition, it has been the Tea Party and other conservatively-minded legislators that have led the charge in attempting to stop governmental insanity.

TheTeaParty.net is a division of Stop This Insanity Inc. and is a national non-profit 501 (c)(4) organization created in 2009 for the education and advancement of the constitutional conservative values of the Tea Party movement. This organization was created to help give the power of government back to the people. We believe, like many of you, that our government has grown out-of-control in a death spiral of unsustainable and barely imaginable trillion-dollar deficits and a national debt rivaling Gross Domestic Product. This government has ignored the Constitution that defines us; invaded the liberty from which our nation was born; and daily drains away the individuality and entrepreneurial spirit of Americans in order to advance a radical, socialist policy built on the back of American taxpayers. We, like many of you, decided to stand up and do something about it.
