Sarah Palin Compared the U.S.’ Debt To Slavery
Tony Lee, Breitbart — On Saturday, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin compared the United States' debt to slavery, warning Americans about the dangers of being "beholden" to China if the nation's debt crisis is not resolved. Speaking at an Iowa Faith and Freedom Coalition event to kick off the 2014 midterm season, Palin said the country's "free stuff today is being paid for by taking money from our children and borrowing from China."
"It's going to be like slavery when that note is due," Palin said of the debt the country is accumulating. "We're going to be beholden to a foreign master... because there is no plan coming out of Washington, D.C. to stop the incurrence of debt, is there?"
Palin said that "all we're hearing about is why we need to grow more debt" when lawmakers in Washington should know to stop digging when stuck in a hole while the country is headed down "the road to bankruptcy."
