On Today’s Show (May 19, 2014): Guest Mark Flatten is an investigative reporter for the Washington Examiner.The scandals keep mounting for the Obama administration and this Crosstalk looked at the latest one involving the Veterans Administration.
Mark began by relaying a news story from Fox News concerning a West Virginia psychiatrist who talked about stalling or delaying patients for treatment. The result is that a couple of them apparently committed suicide.
According to Mark, examples like this are not new. Situations like this have been the topic of investigations by the Government Accountability Office and the Inspector General. Even the VA's internal auditors have identified methods that are being used to 'game the system' and the numbers.
