The cost of the deployment will cost a reported $12 million per month.
However, Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott, a Republican candidate for governor, has indicated that the state may sue the Obama regime over its failure to secure the U.S. border.
“There are costs to all of this: the humanitarian crisis, healthcare, and law enforcement demands. As attorney general, I am looking into taking legal action against the United States,” Abbott told Breitbart earlier this month.
Texas Tea Party groups have been insisting that Perry take action to secure the border, since the Obama regime refuses to take action. A coalition of grassroots Tea Party activists concerned about the Obama border crisis, met in Austin, TX, last week, Breitbart reported.
Ken Emanuelson of the Grassroots Texas Network last week said, “You are the Governor of Texas. The Texas National Guard reports to you. Put them to work!”
Katrina Pierson, a former congressional candidate from the Garland Tea Party, had some of the strongest words for Perry’s prior inaction, saying that Perry travels across the country telling everyone how prosperous Texas is, “But when it comes down to the border, we just don’t have the resources.” Pierson accused Perry of retiring in 2011.
Apparently, Governor Perry has received the Tea Party’s message loud and clear. » Full Article
