Aaron Klein, Jerusalem Bureau Chief, WND — It was an open secret among foreign reporters that Hamas used the Gaza Strip’s main hospital as its command center, reported Yedioth Aharonot, Israel’s largest daily newspaper.The paper, citing numerous foreign reporters, said journalists reporting from Gaza did not tell their audiences of Hamas’ use of the Al-Shifa hospital because they feared retaliation from Hamas. The newspaper further documented the climate of fear that Hamas instilled in Gaza-based reporters.
The day the conflict started last month, WND became the first and, until now, virtually the only news media outlet to report top Hamas leaders used the Al-Shifa hospital as its command center.
Now, a foreign reporter has told Yedioth “it is an open secret that Hamas uses Al-Shifa hospital as its command center,” but “reporters in Gaza would not report that out of fear that it would endanger them.”
Yedioth quoted another journalist, Palestinian reporter Radjaa Abu Dagga, who said Hamas summoned him to answer for some of his reporting, accusing him of working for an Israeli newspaper.
Dagga said the interrogation by Hamas took place at the Al-Shifa hospital. He said Hamas took his passport and threatened him, forcing the removal of an article published in the French newspaper Libération.
Other reporters explained to Yedioth that Hamas’ spokesmen only agreed to be interviewed in the courtyard of Al-Shifa hospital. This was done likely for safety reasons, with the patients serving as human shields. It also created the impression that only civilians were wounded in Israeli attacks, since civilians were streaming into the hospital for treatment.
Indeed, according to the foreign reporters, Hamas imposed a total news media blackout on any reporting of wounded or dead Hamas fighters, once again trying to convey to the world that only civilians were harmed by Israeli strikes.
A Spanish reporter told Yedioth: “We saw the Hamas men. But had we dared point the cameras at them, they would have opened fire at us and killed us.”

On July 8, the day the Israel Defense Forces launched Operation Protective Edge, WND exclusively reported some Hamas leaders were believed to be hiding in bunkers underneath the Al-Shifa hospital, according to informed Middle Eastern security officials.
The officials said they believe the Hamas members are using the Al-Shifa complex in Gaza not only as a hiding place but as a sanctuary command center for some of the Islamic group’s operations targeting Israel.
The Hamas members believe they are safe underneath the hospital and have built tunnels in recent years to move in and out of the complex, the officials said.
The hospital, located in the North Rimal district of Gaza, is one of the main receiving centers for people wounded in the current Israel Air Force bombardments of Gaza City.
It was Israel in the 1980s that refurbished the hospital as part of an outreach effort to improve relations with Palestinians. Part of the Israeli reconstruction included a large underground cement basement with room for offices.
The facility was originally a British Army barracks in the 1940s before becoming a hospital. It was transformed by Egypt in the 1950s to a larger complex with more medical services.

The news of the atrocities against Shia and Christians from Iraq along with the power of the Internet, which we at Shoebat.com have leveraged over the last week made sure the world now knows full well of major persecution and mass murder of Syrian and Iraqi non Muslims, Shia as well as hundreds of thousands of Christians. We warned of this very issue on Shoebat.com back in November 2013.We were the first to publish several gruesome videos of the atrocities by ISIS here & here, which got multiple millions of views and was reported on many mainstream media outlets (without reference to us of course, we are just too extreme for these wimps). Let me stress why we publish this material. It is not to glorify or entertain but to inform and shock people in to action. Our web site is “awareness and action.” We have our sister organization “Rescue Christians” that has saved or aided nearly 3000 people over the last two years and our goal is to save a million over next five years.
I remember when Obama won the election in 2008 I said to Walid, that this president would open up the way to create the Caliphate as prophecy ordained and in less than six years, we have seen that this is exactly what has happened, although Turkey will takeover ISIS eventually. Remember the Bible is a Middle-Eastern centric book and the tribulation of Christians will happen in the place where the Bible was written i.e. the Middle East. Today we reported 200,000 people many of them Christian fleeing for their very lives to get away from ISIS. Women sold as sex slaves with their husbands beheaded. Savagery that is reminiscent of the Middle and Dark ages is now happening again in 2014. There are hundreds of thousands of dead or displaced, fleeing for their very lives. Tribulation indeed!
ISIS threatens the whole of the Middle East. The President today authorized humanitarian aid and limited air strikes. What the President did not tell you is that ISIS was funded and supplied by Turkey and our own CIA along with the support of John McCain when they were trying to overthrow Bashar Assad. So ISIS is our friend in Syria but our enemy in Iraq. We Americans the land of the free and the brave by electing Obama are party to Genocide. Our Church leaders are silent, our Congressmen offer no solutions to advocate for arms along with military experts to train the Kurds on the equipment that needs to be sent to Kurdistan/Northern Iraq immediately, but no such help has been promoted by anyone.
Today August 7th 2014 ISIS routed the Kurds with American military equipment abandoned by the Iraqi army in the South. The Kurds had no equivalent hardware to prevent the attack. The Christians in Kurdistan are now in danger of being overrun by these Nazi killers.
Syria and Iraq have already been overrun blitzkrieg style like Belgium, Holland and Luxembourg were rolled over by Nazi Germany, instead of the Jews being at risk now all Shia Muslims, non Muslims and Christians face wholesale slaughter. The confidence gained by the Muslim fanatics will now spread elsewhere and Pakistan with its official figure of 2.8 million Christians (we believe the figure is closer to ten million as the Muslim governments tend to under estimate the Christian populations in their countries) will be next for ethnic cleansing. The Taliban are gaining strength day by day and with ISIS winning battle after battle will give them confidence to attempt to overthrow the secular government of Pakistan which is weak and corrupt.
In order to save the Pakistani Christian community I believe we need to act before the Muslim horde gets a chance to attack them. They all need to be evacuated to dozens of countries that might provide them refuge. It is our duty to try and save them from what is bound to happen. We must act before the attacks happen as when the Taliban takeover power it will be too late to save but a very few.

Biography of Walid Shoebat

Lead Story by Ben Shapiro, Breitbart — For years, commentators have attempted to peg down just what the Obama Doctrine is. His allies have labeled the Obama Doctrine a form of realism about the limits of American power. His critics have labeled the Obama Doctrine “leading from behind.” In 2009, President Obama came up with his own definition of an Obama Doctrine: “we're only one nation... the problems that we confront, whether it's drug cartels, climate change, terrorism, you name it, can't be solved just by one country.” But Obama has also, at certain points, claimed to champion unilateralism in the service of human rights and internationalism in the service of diplomacy.
The Obama Doctrine has been difficult to pin down because there does not seem to be a common thread uniting his disparate policies – muscular interventionism in Libya, pushy paternalism with regard to Israel, eager abdication with regard to Syria and Ukraine.
But with Obama’s latest decision to launch airstrikes against the Islamic State in the Levant (ISIL or ISIS), the Obama Doctrine has now come into focus: pretend to give a damn about suffering of innocents when it hits the headlines, ignore it the rest of the time.
Because Obama doesn’t truly care. At all. He is a master emotional manipulator, capable of achieving effective posturing when it comes to the suffering of innocents. That’s why the media constantly swoon at his “tone” and his “attitude” during his press conferences. They repeatedly praise his “anger” or his “determination.” But they rarely ask just what he’s doing to fight evil.
Any deployment of power will be short-term and ineffective. Obama will do all he can for innocents up until the moment when he doesn’t have to do so. Then he’ll leave them to die.
That was certainly the case in Egypt, where Obama expressed extraordinary optimism about the ouster of Hosni Mubarak, then promptly allowed the Muslim Brotherhood to take over. He has since spent efforts attempting to undercut the Egyptian military, which launched a popularly-supported coup against Mohamed Morsi.
It has been the case in Iran, where Obama belatedly denounced the treatment of democracy protesters, then did nothing as they were shot in the streets.
It has been the case in Ukraine, where Vladimir Putin has annexed Crimea and invaded eastern Ukraine. Obama has expressed outrage; Putin has scoffed, and his rebel forces have shot down a passenger airliner, to approximately zero effective action from the West.
It has been the case in Nigeria, where after expressing upset over Boko Haram’s kidnapping of innocent girls and ensuring that the State Department endorse the “power of hashtag,” the Obama administration has done precisely nothing.
It has been the case in Syria, where Obama assured the world that should dictator Bashar Assad cross a red line with use of weapons of mass destruction, there would be consequences. There were none. Assad, who Obama said should go, just signed onto another seven-year term. In sum total, the number of dead in Syria now approaches 200,000.
Now, Obama has done the same in Iraq. He will drop a few bombs. He will bluster. Then the world’s attention will turn to some other crisis, and Obama will blithely move on, leaving erstwhile allies to die.
This is no groundbreaking revelation. President Obama has always cared far more about appearances than realities. He bobs like a cork on the waves of crisis, skipping to and fro, always carefully attuning his public emotions to achieve the most sympathetic effect. If brief shows of force are necessary, Obama is unafraid to engage in them. But he is unwilling to make any commitment to taking the lasting action that actually effects change. To do that, he would have to lead rather than follow.
He would have to care.
Barack Obama is an emotional pro and a foreign policy dilettante. And that is an extraordinarily dangerous combination. Popularity is the Obama Doctrine. Ironically, the end result is massive unpopularity – it turns out that world events require prolonged and sustained action rather than posturing. More importantly, the end result is massive casualties.
